Is this app for Leopard only? I have Tiger and it says it can't be used with my version of Mac OS X. It said the same thing with the Stationary pack

Mod Edit: I've decided to make this the defacto thread for discussion of AllSecure, in accordance with our general policy of devoting one thread to each of the loot apps. ~rampancy

Worked on Leopard for me as well.

Curious to see how I'll use this. I already have 1Password for this kind of need. But I do like the UI of this app over 1P, but I've also switched to Firefox, and this is a Safari only browser support for the auto-fill aspect. Maybe between this app, and the strange crashing flukes of FF, I'll go back to Safari smile

Nice. I'll give this a try. Using 1P right now but Allsecure appears to do everything 1P does but with a nicer interface.

Can you report on your findings? I'm really attached to 1Password but this one has a nicer interface.

Hmmm..

If this only goes with Safari (& not Firefox), then this makes me think twice about this app.

1password is great, i love it too much.

Though AllSecure seems good to securely store everything else...

Holy cow, AllSecure is amazing.  Such as beautiful and sexy UI.  And the functionality is incredible.  I can easily see myself storing all kinds of stuff here.  Seriously, I haven't been this enamored with a program since my love affair with Delicious Library 2!

i agree with Rustler. i have been using rapidoserial but i like the UI of this AllSecure plus it actually encrypts your data and not just stores it in the app like rapidoserial. But I am OCD and I like to organize all my stuff.

This is a really pretty program, and I'd love to be able to use it more, but I'm too much a fan of Firefox to switch back to Safari.  Also, 1Passwords keystrokes make it too difficult for me to abandon.  Apple + \ automatically fills in your passwords when you browse to those pages, and Apple + alt + 1 or 2 automatically fill in new forms, along with randomly generated secure passwords.

I just wish 1Password looked as pretty.

Agree with many here above, wont shift from 1Password, that so nicely can synk between computer also, Haven't checked if AllSecure could do that, but what I get from other post I doubt it has anything that can knock out 1Password.

But who knows what it can be handy for, sometimes I've (re)discovered an app from a bundle long time afterwards and then something clicked that it didn't when I first got it.

Same here. It also doesn't seem like nearly as good a password manager as 1Password.

It's very pretty and is functional, but doesn't really give you anything that 1Password doesn't have except for arbitrary file storage. This is good, but not really much better than creating an encrypted diskimage. Not something that I would have bought, but I think I'll use if for archival purposes.

1Password's web browser integration is much nicer, as it only requires the browser to be running, while allsecure needs to be running to autofill, and only works with Safari. I'm keeping it for credit cards though.

They overlap in some functionality...storing passwords and credit card info. But AllSecure also stores files and documents securely. It's use is more "all around" security, where 1password seems to be geared more toward "internet security". I don't have that much data I need to protect with encryption and super secret passwords and watchdogs. I'll probably stick with 1password only. It does look pretty though!

My 'google-fu' must be off tonight.  I can't find any decent reviews on the web for this product.  I too am using 1password and I love that program.  While this appears to have *some* different features, I don't really want to add yet another piece of overlapping software to my system/workflow.

I think I will use it for everything besides password sync with my browser. I am in love with 1Passwords functionality plus it syncs with my iPhone. How could I complain. But everything else is so slick I am finding it hard NOT to use it. Great app for the heist! Thanks MacHeist!

Apart from it's good looks and Safari autofill, I can't say this will replace KeePassX for me.

Locking all of my passwords/Logins/card data into an app that I can't export from is a massive no-no for me.

If they can include an export database function in a standard format then I might think of this as something more than an encrypted Safari autofill app.

For me KeePassX + Dropbox is still the winner.

What it is the big plus of this app compared to 1PW?

In 1PW, I can store my passwords, I can attach notes, I can store confidential information about my CCs and bank account and so on.

I installed this app and apart from the visual differences, it's functionality seems to be pretty much the same. Can anyone enlighten me as to what I would gain by using this over 1PW?

1Password is much better than AllSecure. AllSecure just has a better interface and thats it! It does not even have an Import feature to add credentials from another password manager.

I'll stay with 1Password.

Yeah, the only real advantage I see of AllSecure over 1Password (except the pretty) is that it securely locks down random files, which seems a nice touch.

I'm going away from the norm it seems when I say I'll likely use both. I haven't used 1password for more than just passwords. I'll likely continue to use it that way as well. AllSecure, however, has a great interface for storing files, licenses, etc. Granted, I can store most of those in 1password, but the interface and the addition of storing files there gives AllSecure the advantage for that. So yeah, I love 1password and will continue to use it for all my password needs, but AllSecure will likely be my new go-to for everything else secure. Thanks MH and EdgeRift!

How do you know 1Password is secure? I will use 1Password in the future, but AllSecure is very interesting for serials (especially Serial-Files) and files.
