Mini-Heist #2.5: Stuck in the Amazon. *SPOILERS*
ACP looks cool, you may be right about the other apps, but it's not as obvious how to find the clue.
I bet we're just grasping at straws, they needed something to fill the dock.
EDIT: Maybe not, I just looked again and the way they're faded like that makes me think they're placeholders for something else.

I am dragging "things get better with time" to the trash and clicking it, but no dice. Should I be using Safari, or am I doing something wrong. Please help!

EDIT:
If you click on The Amazon sig images, you get brought to a special site with some song lyrics on it. More of the lyrics were posted earlier. If you look closely, you see that some Things don't match up between them, and you can Get some of the differences if you compare them - you're probably Better at picking at these differences than others - anyway With that in mind, also pay attention to what other parts of that site are interactive; it's most likely interactive for a reason...with Time, you should figure it out for yourself.

What you are reading is just that Sigs. by the poster.
I had one but I took it down.
The only thing you can trust is the Dynamite, The Briefing, The Feed, RSS and the Stickies.
Yes those 5 elements will tickle your mind, drive you to oakland like a mad circus clown and cause you to breakdance.... but in the end awaits free apps... Sweetness indeed!

Ah, I see. Colour me embarrassed. I assumed that because they ended up linking to a real mini heist all the "this was just a joke" posts were just there to throw us off.

I enjoyed that they took our little prank and turned it into something real. Do you think they would have done it still if we hadn't come clean about what we were doing and admitted it was fake? This coulda been a whole lot more interesting if nobody ever came clean about what we were doing with the amazon originally.

Alright, it's time for me to try to contribute.
I noticed the css file for the "old mac" page was
http://macheist.com/css/style.css?v3
But when the "new mac" image is shown, the page source shows the css as
http://macheist.com/css/jgo573asdi3urr.css
I don't know if that was just a randomly generated css file name from whatever program they are using or if there is something more to it.

Heh...thanks... Back when I posted that I wasn't sure if posting a straight-up spoiler was a good idea, hence the subtle clue-dropping.
Oh, and I'm terribly sorry for the typo: yes, it should be "over", not "with". The correct string of words was posted all the way back on the first page by uvablue.

wait. do i drag those words from that phrase into the trash?? i have tried it multiple times but nothing has happened. then i click the trash can and it all resets. do i need to drag them into the trash and then click the "clash" icon?

The spam might give us other tips, or it might just be that the directorate is genuinly (kind of) apologizing for the spam. My money is on the first possibility.
Unfortunately, I deleted all spam right before coming to macheist.com...
