Very excited to see the Hit List.  I was not familiar with this software. I used Things throughout the beta, and while I really like it, I found the price a bit too steep even with the beta discount. In this case I got the whole  MacHeist bundle for less than the cost of Things!

Holy COW!! I was a Things BETA tester and well i fell in love with it.  I payed my 10 bucks for the iphone app of things and thought it couldn't get any better.  I would have never even given hit list a chance if it hadn't have been for the macheist.  I downloaded the trial and was completely blown AWAY by the functionality.  Things was nice but I am sold on the hit list.  The ease of use with the hotkeys (very quicksilver-like) and the ability to make pretty much your own custom work space with the tabs is absolutely incredible.  I can just fly with this app and I have only been using it for about an hour now.  But I am not going to fully use it until I know its unlocked.  So go buy the MACHEIST.  And, thanks macheist you saved me getting an adequate app and upgraded me to an incredible app.

Oh and yes simon... you can schedule tasks... its even easier with the hit list.  You can use the hotkeys or find the date on the calendar and click, its that simple.  There are even start dates for tasks.

It was just implemented recently, and it has a great interface for it. You can go to the web site now and download it for free, because technically it's still in beta. Try it out.

Just for The Hit List I'd buy the bundle! I used the beta for a few days and I forced myself to stop before getting it so involved into my daily routine. I knew that if I liked it too much I'd want to buy it.  I've been using Process, which I am rather pleased with, but The Hit List is amazing! Having all of the easy keyboard shortcuts makes my life so much easier. THANKS SO MUCH MACHEIST!

THL is still officially in beta with a pre-order price of $49.95. What's the deal with the MH bundle - do you get upgrades up to a certain version?

I didn't dare to hope it was in the bundle, but I am so excited about it. I use the beta daily and I absolutely love it and prefer it over Things. Hopefully we'll get to unlock it.

Thanks @MacHeist and @the developer for making it available here.

I'm currently liking Things, but definitely am hoping to see this unlocked. Anyone know of plans for an iPhone app for this one? That would be a must have in order for me to consider switching...

[edit] Well never mind... was playing around with the demo and found out that indeed they are working on an iPhone version. Nice!

The directorates always stated that, all purchases done in MH will be treated as if it is done through the normal channel

So I'm very sure that we will get the final version

Thanks a Lot

So if $100K gets donated, THL is available for everyone for free, even those who don't buy the bundle?

No, if $100k gets donated, then Wire Tap Studio is avilable to anyone that has purchased the bundle already, and anyone that purchases after the unlock.

Then, if (I am guessing here) $250k is donated, then BoinxTV is unlocked and available to purchasers, and at $750k, everything is unlocked to purchasers.

I have tried several GTD apps. I don't like the look and feel of Thinking Rock, Chandler is wy too overloaded, Omnifocus is too complicated, Things is not quite what I want and rest of the apps are unsupported or too simple. I really liked Inbox, the price was right , it is real GTD and looks nice. Unfortunately the developer DNGTD. Inbox just does not work. Anyone else has the latest beta working?
Now THL is a welcome offer. I will try it.

Great to see this one on the bundle..

They already done a great job so far. But as it's still beta and the developer is open for sugestions.
All these new users getting involved, could move THL to it's next level..

Anxiety is waaay lighter in interface.  Anxiety is just an interface to iCal's todo list, really.  The Hit List is much more of a task/project tracking application.  Go grab the beta download and give it a run for a few days.

I kind of have mixed feelings about The Hit List.  I bought Things a few months back for the student price and love it.  I actually tested the beta of THL and liked it a lot, but I personally like the Things interface better, particularly the way it handles tags and the sheer simplicity.  THL has a great tabbed interface and task timers, though.  If it gets unlocked I'll have to try it some more.

Process is great when sharing projects across a network, I wonder if this has that type of functionality? If not, then I'll possibly stick with Process as several of us work together on projects using Process.

THL does look great, and thanks for giving us both options!!!

The same function is was missing in Things is also missing in The Hit List.
Syncing with iCal WITH AUTOMATIC REMINDER.

Things is syncing to iCal, but no option to set a reminder. And that's the main reason i do need a TO-DO program.
Else i forget about my TO-DO's.

I liked Things but missed the pre-order sale. I'm glad I did, now that I've tried THL- I love it! (and I even paid $10 for the Things iPhone app...)

THL is what makes this bundle for me, the rest is nice but stuff I don't need. I REALLY REALLY hope we make it.

I hope to have The Hit List unlocked!  I am an OmniFocus user, but I was blown away by the usability and less-complicated nature of (first) Things, and I was pleased to find The Hit List's public beta to be even more usable and quick.

Personally, I like THL better than Things. It has more keyboard shortcuts, 10 priority levels, support for tags and contexts,  folders to categorize projects, and a lot more. I'm personally a fan of the notepad style background, too.

The one thing I really want is repeating To-Do's (missing from iCal) for things such as monthly bills. According to their web site, this app has "Repeating Tasks". Can anyone comment on whether that's the same (basically, have a Todo pop up every month, vanish when I check it and come back from the grave yet another month later)?

As an aside, I have Tangerine from Potion Factory and their software is first class.

This feature does exist. Set the first due date for the task and then click the icon at the top of the calendars:

http://www.quicksnapper.com/files/3994/213530302149CC3E67492D4_m.png

You then have the option to set the next start date, the next due date, and the end of the repeat. If you check "after completion", the next start date disappears because the next start, obviously, is when you complete the task:

I was actually planning on getting the bundle basically for this app.  I recently have been trying to find the best productivity app for me and i settled on Things not to long ago.  Dropped 40 for the desktop and 10 for the iphone.  Its great, system-wide shortcut lets me do everything i need to add tasks so that i don't forget them (which i do often) and then process them later.  Things is not traditional GTD because there are no contexts but it works for me, may or may not work for you.  I would say you should test out both of these apps before buying in any form. PS the iPhone app is a must if you have an iphone or an ipod touch.  Add tasks w/o your computer, then when you get on the same wifi network, just have things open on both devices and they sync.  excellent.
