This is a lesson for developers: heinous registration processes are bad. The server wouldn't be down if the game didn't require online activation, and people wouldn't be complaining about it as much if the trial period were closer to a week, instead of 60 minutes.

Agreed. Why 60 minutes? It would be so easy to ignore for a week while I played that one mode, over and over again. Honestly. lol just being able to have some fun with it and maybe get better a little would make it alot easier haha.
Also, again not complaining just observing, but if you are putting your app in a Macheist bundle, given Macheist's history of success, shouldn't you be able to pretty accurately predict the traffic that you'll get, and then prepare for it? It would have such a more positive impact on potential future customers, ya know?
