Hey everyone! I'm still pretty new to the whole MacHeist thing, and I've tried a couple of the member created heists, and I thought they were pretty cool. I just put one of my own together, though I'm not sure if this is too difficult, too easy, too stupid...well, you get the gist...
I'm offering up a Google Voice invite for the first person to complete this, with the next 10 getting Wave invites... (If people already have the invites, they'll trickle down to the next people)
Here's the story:
You wake up after a hard night of partying, and your lover has left you a note stating they're leaving you, and not coming back. If you truly love them, you will track them down to prove your love. The text of the note can be found at:
http://www.jhavener.info/leaving
You should not need to look at source code to solve this (I suck at HTML anyway, so it wouldn't do you any good)
Like I said, this is my first attempt at making anything like this, so any and all feedback is welcome! ![]()
EDITS:
Here are some links that might help solve this heist:
Congratulations to the winners!!!
1) Deej (Voice is not available in his area, and he already has Wave)
2) Zapzack (Didn't want an invite)
3) Acmys (Didn't want an invite)
I need a hint. What is the note encrypted in???

what do you get when ace of base is mixed with a nintendo 64....
edited: I don't need to give a direct answer....makes it more fun
I have a suspicion as to what the note is decoded in, but I'm hoping it isn't what I think it is.
The CODE refers to the actual airport code... not the word code... so it would be www.jhavener.info/XXXX
I already use GVoice and Wave so I'm not too worried about the prize, but I like a good challenge
. I'm stuck a little bit
I don't want to give too much information out, but I've come up with the riddles and (what I think) are the answers and am stuck on the code. Your link at the bottom says something different from what it links to. It says www.jhavener.info/CODE however it links to http://www.jhavener.info/site/CODE.
It is throwing me off a little bit.
Ack! I thought I fixed that!!! its www.jhavener.info/CODE, not /site/CODE... I'll hurry up and update the page to reflect that change
EDIT: Actually, after reading what you wrote... you don't have to go to /CODE, you need to go to /XXXX, where XXXX is the code....I've fixed the redirect though
I'm getting rather confused by the second string. I've decoded it, and then I'm sort of, well, stuck.
I know what the thing I've got is called, and I know why it's special. Just, I'm not sure what I need to do with it now.
To curb the confusion on the /CODE thing, I've gone ahead and changed the page to say /xxxx
Hopefully that will curb the confusion regarding that part of the heist
I've tried the airport codes I've come up with based off answers to the questions but I must be way off. I get multiple answers for KSE depending on where I look and I can really only come up with one answer for the p******m, but I could be wrong there too.
I'm afraid that I'm going to have to wait for more clues....(*ahem):)

Here's a hint... A lot of the answers depend on how you word your search....Especially for the W answer... Try your search on a much more broad base, then boil it down to a smaller level when you get to the page...also, if you look at more results than just the first one on the page, that will help a lot!

99.5 is not part of the answer... and there shouldn't be a 404...
Look at post 14 for a hint on how to rectify that...
Where are you getting a 404?
Any hints on the N puzzle? I have some progress on W, but hoping working on N will help me narrow down what it could be

I've tried all the airport codes we have here, and it doesn't seem like it's working.
Is this airport in the US? As in a "K" prefix?
Also, are the numbers lat/long? Because that leads me to some faraway place I only hope to travel to.
I have the same question.
Sorry if I'm a bother.
