How to I join a team?

How do you know that you can join a team only during MH4, or that there will be a MH4?

the teams thing is only during a heist. and i think it's been confirmed that there will be a mh4

Correction: Teams were only during MH3 heists. There is no indication that teams will or will not return, and last season was the only time so far that such a scheme had been implemented.

I really hope it's not implemented again.

Actually, if you look hard enough, you can find the "team application", but it doesn't change anything once completed.
