Actually, that was a joke smile

Darn! What a pity. If it had been real, it'd have been very cool. Next year, perhaps? wink

Sorry to disappoint Richard, but you're definitely getting into the right mind-frame for MHIII.  Remember to use all the clues given to you when on a mission.  And good luck!

What? Another MacHeist adventure is upon us? Fantastic!

Maybe something happens if the Digg counter reaches a certain number? It's only at 249 so far, which isn't very high. Maybe more of us should Digg it and up the count. (Just done it myself; I was number 249.)

How soon after an invite should the other person get an eMail? I've tried a few and nada, and no real feedback on the Giving Tree page except (both times) "invite sent! Another?" dialog.

Are you sure? I thought last year they were only there for that day and there were a number of people who couldn't get them open afterwards. Anyone know for certain?

unless you went through the javascript too, it was still very possible, and they definitely should have done it after everyone wrote it off as a joke tongue

Yea, I thought about that when I first tried it myself.  Phill & Co. are clever b@stards, so you've always gotta be on your toes.  (Remember when they put an app behind the picture frame on the home page?  That was very clever.)

They actually have to register for MacHeist, not just click on the link and claim their prize.

And for everyone that dug GT good job, we're at like over 2000!

FWIW, Firefox won't let me select the second rule, while Safari does (having the second rule outlined when clicked on makes the clue more obvious).

Given that one of the other heists (the first one, yes?) was also messed up in Firefox, I'm switching back to Safari for heists this year.

I noticed the iPhone apps as well. They start small then grow until they jiggle for a few moments and disappear; making way for another.

The most curious one was a larger ornament that appeared towards the middle of the tree. Clicking on it paused for a few moments then told me that I didn't win and try again later. Hmmm...

Yeah, it appears the first to click on it when it wiggles wins it.

Just like suomichris deduced, you have to be the first to click on the ornament the instant it starts jiggling.
