Has anyone else notice that mhstatic.com (Macheist's backdoor) is in a state of flux. It appears to portend some unwitting clues about MH III. Check it out.

Maybe the infrastructure backbone for MHIII?

I think you are way over-analyzing this. That's just the default lighttpd page for Fedora, and since mhstatic.com isn't meant to be visited whoever set it up didn't bother to change to page. If you haven't noticed, they use mhstatic.com to server up all of their downloads.

And I'm surprised that nobody's found the new server yet. It's designed to "support the heavens".

I believe you thrive on provoking wild speculation of the red herring variety.
But, for the record, it could refer to Atlas or perhaps even native american mythology (that four birds, or other animals, support the heavens).

Lighttpd is a web server software. Like Apache, but way better on handling many simultaneous connections and high load. Frankly, it's a lovely software for running sites like MacHeist.

While Atlas is the most prominent figure for supporting the heavens, I don't know if I'm going off on a tangent... but most religions had some sort of quadrite system of supporting the heavens. Or a system of four supporting pillars and one central. For example, various native american cultures thought that either a mix of four animals or elements of nature supported the heavens, the Mayan's had a tree Yaxche, whilst ancient Chinese myths also had their own take. Furthermore, it was argued that part of the function of the Tower of Babel was to do so. The Ancient Egyptians had a Pillar of Heaven, and the Japanese also had one or two pillars. The Egyptian God Heh specifically is known to have supported the sky in similar fashion to Atlas.

OK, so I suppose that does lump you into "you guys" but either way, here's the point: the clues are going to get a lot more obscure. The steps it took to figure out mhtitan.com were pretty simple.
-We know of MHstatic.com
-John says the new server is designed to "support the heavens"
-Greek mythology figure Atlas is cursed to support the heavens.
[stop here and try variations of macheist and atlas for a while]
-Atlas was a Titan...
-Boom. MHtitan.com
It's going to get a LOT harder if previous heists are any indication. I chose not to spoil the fun for that reason. It's a lootless heist, yes. But not a fruitless one.

I thought he was the son of titans Clymene and someone whos name escapes me ? ? if you're the son of two titans, doesn't that make you a titan ? ?

Besides the Olympian gods and goddesses, the Titans produced other offspring, either themselves or through mating with other creatures. The second generation Titans included Atlas.
so Atlas was a second generation titan. thats good enough for me
