Agents,
It appears that you have retrieved a second mysterious file. The mainframe hasn’t finished analyzing the first one yet, but enter the location of what you’ve found to mainframe.macheist.com to add it to the queue.

While you were working we received another tip:

The Source wrote:

Devices β and γ don’t use the small capacitor, but the device that uses ‘Gates’ also uses the medium capacitor, while the device that uses ‘Ballmer’ uses the magenta fluid, and device γ doesn’t use the magenta fluid, nonetheless, devices β and γ use the ones named after Microsoft board members, while the device that uses the medium capacitor also uses the cyan fluid, yet the device that uses ‘Gates’ doesn’t use the yellow fluid, and of course, device α doesn’t use the cyan fluid!

Sherlock Holmes once said ”...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth…”
Holmes’ domain was logic, but I find him to be curiously LogicallyIllogical.

“The Source” also included a code word that we can use to verify future communications, I’ll keep you posted as I get them.

Elementary my dear Watsons!

@micheldevon Pretty simple: just complete the challenges, find the images, and post them to mainframe.macheist.com

I kinda guessed they would start up MH3 today.  They finished off MH2 at MacWorld (or thereabouts) last year, so it only made sense to pick up where they left off so to speak.

It's a logic puzzle that tells you how to place the parts on the motherboards.  When you place the parts correctly (drag & drop to place), you get the next link to the puzzle.

Did anyone notice that what shows up in the mainframe when you enter the appropriate text for this is an image that is similar (same spots and such) but the colors have been shifted?  My puzzle piece from logicallyillogical has a small bit of blue on the lower left corner, but when uploaded to the mainframe, the blue covers much more of the puzzle piece.

Odd.

What? Another MacHeist adventure is upon us? Fantastic!

I don't see what to do with the mainframe. there is no input I can input anything to. I have 2 images and nothing to do with them.

I went there.  Unfortunately, I'm not confused about how to solve the puzzle.  I'm confused about what you do with it after I solve it.  I have entered stuff in mainframe.macheist and nothing happens.  I have the image filenames; I've tried entering with and without the extension.  What else is there?  I'm obviously missing the point.  Help please?
