Opposite sides of dice add up to one more than the number of faces. With a standard d6, for example, the opposite sides add up to 7, so if you see a 5, the opposite side is 2.

Why do people seem to think they have the right to not be offended?

Ditto, was that a step along the way that we just managed to skip or should we go back and figure it out?

hey... just to clarify, FileA.png is an image of the top four dots of Braille numbers. These numbers give you which dice you want on eisoptrotriskaidekaphobia.

Yeah. I got about two thirds of the way through with trial & error before I figured out the Braille. Oh well... figured maybe I could save some other soul a bit of confusion. :-)

Okay, I lined up the dice in front of the mirror with trial and error (wouldn't have thought of Braille), and when I got them all right, they just stayed there. It's my understanding that the 10... code is the one that mounts the *.dmg, which gives you the *.txt with the location of the next *.tga file, but how do you go from the numbers on the dice to that 10... code?

It can't just be the side that's on the "mirror side" of the die, because some of the numbers were higher than 7. So what would be on the opposite side of the side that's greater than 7? Would it be the number that brings it down to exactly 7 (e.g. 2?) But what numbers appear on a dodecahedron, anyway? Isn't it 1 - 12? That means 2 wouldn't appear twice (if it's already "opposite" the side with "5" on its face).

So... what do you do once you line up the dice in the mirror?

don't think of it as standard dice, which always add up to 7. these dice add up to thirteen... (triskaideka)

To -(0_0)-: FileA was braille numbers that told you what dice to pick for the mirror puzzle.

A die's opposite sides always add up to the number of sides plus 1. A six sided die always adds up to 7, the 1 and 6 are opposite each other. A 12 sided die always adds up to 13. So if you had the dice from the puzzle and you looked at their opposite sides in a mirror you'd get the string above.
