That was fun
And if it wasn't for stupid deadlines it'd be even better..
Damn... I want to make origami stuff now!
So since this is the debriefing part I suppose a little summary might be useful...
Basically all the previous briefings eventually lead each to a different pretty tga square image with a long name that looks a bit like a hash. There are 9 of them and they can be connected (surprise surprise) to form a bigger picture. The urls leading to each image can be added to the MacHeist mainframe which will in turn start decoding.
Yay!
HI FLOOR! MAKE ME SAMMICH!
Gah, do you guys really have to do this during work hours? It's a bit unfair!
Purchase via my referral - I still need 1 as of 4/5

That was fun...I wonder if there will be more after 30 days, or if that will be when they drop the bundle. I bet there will be more (only 3 apps is a light loot for MH).
There will be more. Lots more. This wasn't even a "real" heist - just a warm-up ![]()
You'll have lots of fun in the next 30 days ![]()

argh! i missed the whole thing. curse being on the other side of the world!
me too. i can't see why they couldnt just give us the clues and the answer ends up being a link to download the software or something. rather than some kids figuring it all out and being impossible to catch up because everything is in a crazy forum format

I find MH just have the heists had wrapped up last year and during the bundle sale. I'm so happy to have gotten to participate, even if this wasn't a full-blown heist. I've now gotten my boyfriend hooked on MH as well. He and I raced to see who could get done first. (I won.)
Can't wait for the real heists to start! And thank you to everyone who was commenting. I definitely needed some help on a couple of these!

So what do we do with all the images? I am new to this thing... How did you get the keys to the programs? Can someone help me?
The "We Are Go Folks" topic in the Backroom forums is probably the best running commentary on how these things were solved and what to do with them.

Ha that was fun, but as I was entering all the links I somehow forgot one, and had to use the Backroom.

I am quite confused, and clearly late to the game. How exactly do I participate?

Mayor Mark Mediocre must go!
First time for me too, and it's been a blast. Fantastic.
As cool as the heist was, the best part was seeing Sophie in the video. Hot accent. Hot woman!

Well, that was a mind blower. I enjoyed the action, but had to cheat a bit. Just a warm up for things to come
Good fun, thanks MacHeist!
Also, just go through the threads and look at the puzzles (or look at the posted URLs there) you lazy peeps who want all the URLs!
Great job, Macheist! Can't wait for the next mission.
Wow, my first time with the heisting and I loved it, but I'm wondering if I missed out on any software along the way. I unlocked "process" (okay that one was already there), "pandora's pests", and "MacDust" anyone unlock anything else?
Nope, that was it for the warmup. Then again, it was just the warmup. Wait until the real missions start!
Whats the backroom?
For everyone who is new to macheist, consider dropping by the forums, especially the front room. There are several intro topics that give you a feel for what will go on, etc. Here is a link to get you started:

Arrgh... got my email for this over lunch, was looking forward to sitting down to it tonight, and by the time I get home, the whole thing's over
. A couple of interesting puzzles, but why do the whole thing in one quick afternoon? You couldn't spread it out, say one a day or something? Kind of a bummer ![]()

Typically a "heist" will go as quickly (or slowly, as was the case a couple of times last year.) as it takes for people to solve the riddles.
This isn't the whole thing. This is just the warmup.
There are more heists to come, I'm sure.
Typically, there are around 6. Head on over to the Front Room to get an idea of what's going to go down.
Just got through today's puzzles myself. All after the fact.
I'm looking forward to working on them live in IRC with the others for the next ones.
Been fun. Looking forward to more.

In theory, theory and practice are the same, in practice, they are not.
Haha, that was fun. At first I didn't really know what to expect, but once I got used to the "Take the strange crap and try it in a URL" approach, I was cruising.
A+ For making me learn sheet music again.

Thanks for the warm-up MacHeist.
I don't think we'll have to wait the full 30 days for the first real mission though. If you read Sophie's original post for this thread, she says she'll let us know if they make a breakthrough. I suspect they'll make a miraculous breakthrough before then.
Blah. I liked MacHeist a lot better when it was puzzles you solved on your own, not when 300 kids do all the work while I'm at work.
I don't mind the collaboration, but by the time I got home from work - everything was solved. I've been doing most of it myself since then, but I keep accidentally running across the answer on a forum while looking for clues. Is there a way to 'earmark' complete spoilers (ie: posts with the answer)?
ORANGE.
Incredible. MacHeist is the most amazing online puzzle ever! And the fun rewards are always good!
I can't believe I just spent 4 hours doing these - and that was with the assistance of all the current posters (but I DID solve a few on my own - woo hoo!!)
