Newbie here!
I've been reading all these great posts to newbs on here and I have to say, this forum is one of the most friendly to new folks as any I've ever been to! Thanks for that.
With that, I have a question (*sigh* of course!)
This "warmup" heist that occurred recently, is this the one that the mainframe is referring to as having 2 days left? If so, does that mean that there is going to be another heist? I unfortunately happened upon macheist two days ago so I missed this (warmup?) heist. Does that mean that I can't participate in the puzzles to earn loot or purchase the bundle?
Will I have the opportunity to participate in this apparent MHIII for which i missed the warmup?
Again, thanks for being such a welcoming, warm forum! I just love that part of the proceeds goes to charity.

To answer your questions: yes, the mainframe is referring to the warmup heist (although it's not a heist). And yes, there will most probably more heists and yes, you will be able to participate to those!

Great! So, how can one tell the difference between a heist and a warmup?

Last year the heists were proceeded with a site-wide blackout; going to macheist.com or even the forum pages would instead redirect you to a mysteriously enigmatic image or video file. They'll likely do something similar this time around.
Also, look for new threads in the Directorate Communiqués subforum.
You'll also likely get a notice of a new mission via email or RSS, if you're subscribed to the MacHeist RSS feed.

Great! Thank you. I am indeed subscribed to the RSS and Twitter. ![]()
