What do you all think of the design of MacHeist...

Colors, Layout, How the design ties in with the name.

On a personal note, i think it is a very vell designed website, colors are neutral just like a bank, marble back nice touch. Layout is exciting, the vault in the middle at the top, connected to a keypad of some kind maybe.

Adam has really outdone himself this time...

It's nice, but it's a little too much maybe...
Some of the grey is a little annoying, in the forum part at least.

The top, with the dynamite, is fantastic.

It's nice, but it's maybe a little too over the top. Busy designs don't work well for me..

i guess "eye of the beholder" comes to mind

I like the design a LOT.  webpages such as this, that dont LOOK like webpages, IMO are successful

I've always loved Adam's work. If it weren't for him, I might not even still be doing graphics! He's been my major role model as far as graphics goes, even before Pixel Sage was born big_smile

Very nice site design. I'm always learning in my design and Adam's work is consistently an inspiration.

Edit: I also love how so many people have made their avatars b&w to go with it. It's great.

I totally agree.
The marble gives the site that bank/vault feeling.. Without it, it wouldn't be the same.

The first mockup for MacHeist. It's come along far since then, but a lot of its original elements have remained. smile

I love the design of this site.

The neutral color scheme makes everything a litttle easier to see.

Does this mean I've got to greyscale my avitar?

Wow, the final design is soooooo much better than that green thing! I'm extremely glad it evolved to what it is.

This type of site, a site that replicates a place or thing and gives a sense of depth, is what Adam Betts does best. Just look at MacThemes, or his blog.

I love it. The marble background is a great touch. Though, my only complaint is that avatars don't link to a profile and the rank bar looks odd. =P

I like everything on the site I must say.

I think it would be best for avatars to be B, W, and blue.  Oh, and have a little bit of green in the uppoer right hand corner.
