The icon between Mail and iTunes is Adium with the excellent Chat Doc dock icon. And Time out hands is Time Out!, and that AppleScript icon is not normally there, it's just Needle Drop running so I can preview songs at the iTS without stops.

The jupiter icon is Celestia, which is really neat, but I almost never actually open it (like I said, I really need to clean out my dock).

For some reason, the icons in your dock and what I can see of the background suggest a very earthy/nature-ish theme. I'd be interested to see what your desktop picture is.

EDIT: What programs are you all using to modify your dock colors?

Thanks for the tip, that looks pretty cool, i'll have to show my astronomy teacher (also a mac user)

as for my background, I guess you could call it kind of nature-ish: Underwater City. It has kind of a Samurai Jack feel to it, plus I love vector art. Vector art just looks better on a mac than most other backgrounds, at least for me. This is the one I was using when I took the Dock pic.

I also sometimes switch it to this: Monkey Sillouttes, because I'm a anthro/primatology major, and i love primates.

Sometimes i use this: The Deep, because 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is one of my favorite books.

Lastly I often use this: Mars, cause its beautiful and far away.

I actually have a huge library of wallpapers, but as much as I like the ones I have in my library, These are the only four I ever seem to use.

No need for a third-party program, just go to "Dock" in the Apple menu.

He means alignment, not position. Everyone knows how to move the dock from the bottom to the left or whatever it happens to be.

Declin, try TinkerTool or Cocktail for this. I personally prefer TinkerTool.

You must have a lot of RAM. 5 apps running at the same time, and the 512MB in my MBP just buckles and tries to die. hmm

Who cares what your Dock looks like? Empty it out and use Overflow? (And no, I have nothing to do with the app. Just started transitioning away from the dock to Of and so far, it's much more friendly.)

Cause Overflow was an MDA freebie... Even tho i pretty rely on quick silver for everything, i couldn't pass up free software. i sort of use overflow as an alternate Applications folder, where i can organize my apps into catagories without having to make real folders in my real applications folder. Needless to say, I have a ton of shit in my Overflow

Sometimes you can't always remember every app you have, and you need to look at a quick overview.  Plus the icons are pretty.

Hey Novi...As am I. It's from a Black History icon set I downloaded here: http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/details.php?id=1042

I replaced the Firefox icon because I was kinda tired of looking at it and the Malcolm X was pretty much the same size and circular...
