If you use Safari it should do. In the backroom there are pretty good solutions, including pictures of what to drag where. Just try it out, it's fun big_smile

And now in German:
Probiere es einfach mit Safari, dass sollte auf jeden Fall funktionieren. Wenn Du im Forum auf den Backroom Raum gehst, gibt es Walkthrough Threads, in denen steht genau drin was Du machen muss um die Mission zu meistern, inklusive Screenshots was wohin muss.

I didn't have any problems with the registration.  Copied the promo code into the CCD box, put in my MH user name for name.  Filled in my address information and clicked submit.  Worked fine, it automagically installed the license for me and i was off playing the games in no time.

Well.. registration worked fine for me on the first shot.
Have to say though, the game itself isn't that compelling. I mean, clicking on colored boxes that make breaking glass noises has the engagement level of a piece of bubble wrap (which, now that I think of it, is pretty engaging). Still, interesting distraction, but not much of a winner with me. hmm

I just finished the mission (great stuff BTW) and was entering the liscense info into 1Password when I realized that that the liscense locks to computer which is slightly annoying but fine I guess. The only question I have to the dev, or whomever may know is, If I keep my Promo code with me and want to retrieve it in, say, a year, using today's version, will I be able to?

Once you register BabelBloX, you can use our iX Connection system to add a new computer your license.  There is a button for iX Connection at the top left of nearly every page of our web site. illuminex.com

Your Promo Code is a single-use code.  No need to save it after you use it once.  However, you can log into iX Connection after you register it, and save the login information in 1Password for future use (if you lose your key, or if you buy a new Mac.)

Enjoy!

Thus far, all of the "failure to register" incidents that I've looked into are the result of attempting to use the registration promo code in place of a license key.  The Promo Code is not a key.   It can only be used to obtain a key by using it in place of the credit card number in the registration panel.

I've added a screen shot of the proper dialog screen to the instructions page, to clarify this.

Note also, the game only works on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).  Attempting to license it on Tiger or other previous systems may fail in a variety of unexpected ways.  (Normally the app doesn't launch.)

If you are still experiencing issues, please email support at-you-know-the-rest-because-it-is:  illumineX.com.

Enjoy!

My promo code, however, starts off with:

88-787-...

I wonder if this is the problem?

Probably not the problem.  My numbers after "88-" are different as well but mine worked.

Thanks. I'll keep on trying, then. Probably overloaded server.

The error message indicates that an invalid license was placed in the license field of the License Registry Panel.  That won't work, because the Promo Code is not a license key.

The Promo Code should be used in place of the Credit Card Number in the "Register Online Now..." dialog.  I've added a screen shot of this dialog to the instructions page to clarify this.

I've seen other speculation that our server is overloaded.  The registration process takes a fraction of a second on our server, so it's basically idle even with thousands of you registering all at once.  However, I noticed that we only have one instance of our registration server running, which could lead to people needing to retry now and then.  We've added a few instances so that shouldn't happen as often.

Enjoy!

You can only use the Promo Code one time.  However, you receive a full license to BabelBloX, just like a regular customer.  You can log into our iX Connection and easily add your other machine, if you have both a desktop and laptop, for example.  illumineX.com (there is a login button on the top left of nearly every page of our site).

OK, I can't post links in the MacHeist forum, but the link is the same, just change the file name to this:

InfinityPaX.Tiger.dmg

This is the entire game pack, we don't have the old BabelBloX-only disk image around any more.

Please note that I have no idea if the promo code will work for you on a Tiger system.  We haven't tested that with our new license server.  If it doesn't work, we won't fix it.

Good luck, Tiger users!

No, the system normally handles special characters just fine.  We have thousands of users with special characters in their names in our database.

If you encounter a special character or a name that doesn't work, please let us know by email.  support _at_ illumineX.com.

I'm not sure what you mean about the tabs.  I just double checked, and it seems to work fine, switching from field to field when you press tab, just as it should.

You're welcome!  Unfortunately, if the "Verify Connection" doesn't work, that probably means that the old Tiger registration code doesn't work with the new Leopard license server.  (I expected that, although I hadn't tried it myself).  Try it again tomorrow if you like, but if it doesn't work, it can't be fixed.

The other games (MarbleX, RuniX, HoppiX, etc.) are of all different types, some are quite challenging.  BabelBloX is basically like doodling -- it tickles a certain part of the brain, that likes to be tickled when you're on a long boring conference call.  (Although some of the game variants are harder than others, change the Game World to play the other variants.)

Yeah, Full Screen mode has some issues on certain models of hardware.   Beyond that, screens have grown so large now, that our design approach to Full Screen mode needs to be re-thunk.  (e.g. we either need to do it better, or remove the mode).
