I received the app in my loot, downloaded it, and followed the instructions on the loot page. Purchased the app using the promo code, total charge was $0. Received two emails from the company; the first an order confirmation and the second was my serial#. These were received at 10:48pm EDT on 3/20. I installed the serial into the application and it worked as it should. I mention only to provide a reference point for when the process was working.

I can't follow the instruction that says "Click the big button with the happy arrows!" because I don't see it. The web page states "Initiate payment - Please finalize your purchase and pay now". I got the first email but not the second. I think there may be a problem.

still no email from them..... strange, at least with 5-10 restarts I got it running on my iMac....
but still only in demo mode

No problem for me. Everything works as it should. Unfortunately iStock is pretty lame. I mean all it does can be done in a spreadsheet and the technical analysis part is not very complete.
Do something healthy.

Yes, it does the basics, and I like the ticker in the menubar, but it could do more. It was recently purchased by a different company, so maybe they are planning some big enhancements for a 2.0 version? I might pay for the upgrade if they have some nice new features.
Update: It will also be nice if the lower drawer that shows the chart could be resized. I could have the whole thing up on a second display, but the chart stays tiny.

I have iStock and followed the directions in "My Loot" . You have to fill out the form and after that insert the discount code and then click th thingee that shows up and it will state that the code is in your email. There should be two emails in your trash or spam folders or maybe even in your in box. They should say "payment Recieved" andanother one that gives the Reg Code.The first time you launch it there is no place to insert the reg code. The second launch will atomatically bring up a window to insert the reg code.

Followed the instructions last night using Firefox and never received a license. Followed them again today in Safari and it worked.

I am still having problems and it just must be me? I just went through the instructions again to order iStock with the coupon code. That all works just fine. Then the instructions say: • Click the big button with happy arrows! I do not have this that I can find on their order page. Can someone take a screenshot to show me where I am going wrong?? Thanks

Hi tumuchtime! After you click the "order button" on the Developer's site you will then get another window with a button to finalize the transaction.

I, too, am missing iStock. I did as suggested and redid the moving block puzzle and uploaded the files (twice). Reloaded my loot page. Still no iStock in my loot.
I'd like to point out that I never got a second (new) briefing in the middle of the mission. It gave me the same briefing from the beginning of the mission. Perhaps that is where the screw-up is.
And if it matters, somewhere along the way I got a page here that said I had completed the mission.

There lies the problem for me. I clicked on the "order" button, got the next window but NO button! The screen shows the code was applied, zero due, click on order, next window has the PayPal button but no button with arrows to click on....very frustrating. Would you tell me where on the screen this button is?

I downloaded iStock with no problems however...when i opened the app the red cross button in its window doesnt work. I chose to quit the software and it doesnt close. i tried to shud down my iMac and it doesnt respond. This programme has basically frozen my Mac. It's very strange because the rest of the programmes work fine but the damn iStock window doesnt shut down and neither does my iMac. !!! Anyone knows how i might be able to get out of this? Please?

Update: I chose force quit and it worked and the app is working ok so far. However the red cross button on top left of its window is still non existant. Anybody else experience this?

tumuchtime: I think you should start over by going to the Developer's web site. But before you do go there using the link in the loot window. Fill out the form like you're going to pay cash for it and put in all the salient info. Then click on buy and put in the discount info and then click the button and then you will be taken to another screen wherein the button lives. I hope you are using Safari as it works best on this stuff. Let me know if you are successful.

Sounds like sometimes registering the loot is more difficult than completing the mission!

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. I switched from my iMac to my MacBook and did as you suggested. I did not download the software before going through the purchase process. I never had that button with the arrows on my desktop but it was there this time. I filled out the paperwork, received the email with the serial and then downloaded the program. Clicked on it and once again it froze, would not quit or force quit. I did the command-option-esc and got a force quit window (didn't work that way when I was on my iMac). Then I restarted and clicked on iStock again to start the program. It worked! I entered my serial and all is well. Oh happy day.

Well, I have to say the process was flawless to get the app, however I can't see myself actually using this too much right now, not until there's a company I want to track. I haven't even bothered to see if it is just US centered, or if it is world stock markets.

I've been longing for iStock for a very long time. Been using unregistered version with limitations but still pleased with it. Now I have a free one thanks to MH.

k, got emails now. However not to happy with the app. Can't seem to change the location where the stocks are traded. If I enter them, they will automatically go to NYSE. (maybe I'm missing something.....)
BTW. the values are at least 15 minutes behind real data (read it somewhere in the info)

But, it did not cost us $20. To us, it is free.
