however from what I can the the prefs_client and prefs_profile files ( the .cs not the dso's from what I can tell) are over written each time the game is started.

I understand that you guys are working on it, and that its not easy. I have offered to send my console.log file.
should I just post the contents to the frogames forum, or should I main it to someone.

I think its a really cool game. so dont take my whine the wrong way.

Ok just a heads up

I have removed MiniOne Racer from my aplications folder and from the Application support folder. I then installed 1.0.3
I am not seeing any difference yet, although I have not had a chance to race a championship I have tried to change my display settings apply ok quit reopen he game and the display settings are back to default.

I will try a race a little later and see if thats ok now and will report back

With 1.0.3 we now have racing options back, and can play different types of games, but the LAN issue is still the same. We've opened up the required ports (they were opened when we first tried) etc but no luck.

The Optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds, the Pessimist fears this is true.

1.0.3 only fix the Leagues issue, we're working on the LAN problem and the options not saved.

Downloaded the update - still didn't save my progress when I quit... Should I completely remove the old version first (and would that require a new serial?) as I just dropped it in an replaced the old image.

I have problems with the steering. Sometimes, if I remove my fingers from the keyboard, the Mini still drives in circles.

ok finished the first Leagues 50cc championship,
selected back once or twice then went back to the leagues page and it still had me listed as having finished the 1st 50cc championship, went back to main menu and exited the game restarted the game and no progress was saved.

let me know if you want me to test anything else to post my console.log file

Also sometimes the decides to wait for players, while I am playing alone. Te only solution is to force quit.

Since finishing the third heist three days ago, I have tried to register MiniOne Racer several times and each time I have received the following message, "Sorry, we're experiencing difficulties, please try again." I connect to the internet using a network proxy, most apps (both Apple and independent shareware/freeware)) have no problem with this; they happily connect to the internet to register, to check for updates, to download updates, etc. Most, does not include Amazon MP3 Downloader, I assume that it uses some strange port or is unable to accept the proxy that other apps happily accept (this is not an area that I have any expertise in), and I fear MiniOne Race is having similar problems.

Now I had a crash.

My kids absolutely love the game... they say it's like Cro-Mag Rally, but cooler.

My take--I get motion sickness big time when the perspective is first person.

Microsoft is not the answer. Microsoft is the question. The answer is no.

I can access the website, but I'm still getting the same error when trying to register the game.

Quick notes:
- Gareth, can you try this on a Terminal: traceroute -p 80 glm.frogames.com
- I fixed the save issue (at last!)
- I'm currently working on the LAN bug

I really don't know what's going on for you If you're using a laptop try registering the game from an other web connection.

The serial number that I received yesterday says it is invalid. I went back into my account, and copy/pasted straight from this website, and it still says the same thing. It's not too big of a deal, but it looks like a fun game.

Hi doctorcaligari, make sure:
- You copied the MiniOne Racing folder in your hard drive
- That you're connected to internet to register your game
- Do not copy/past the serial: you may have copied a space character.
- Every character in you serial is important, case too.

the other player connected cannot change their view by clicking TAB.  changing view works OK for them in single user mode.

Actually I find it more like "punishing the criminal by throwing everyone who ever associated with him in jail".

I'm not 100% certain yet but I think they send new serial numbers on request if you can proof that you are a legitimate MacHeist "customer". I just asked what to do.

I just went over to the forums at Frogames, and posted in their tech help section about not being able to reinstall my MiniOne Racer onto a new computer because of an invalid serial number. I received this message back from them in an email...

It is a shame that a nice deal like free software through MacHeist has to be ruined by a few juvenile idiots who post these serial numbers for other software pirates.

I appreciate Frogames giving the program away for free... but I'm not going to buy their program (even at a discount) when they could ask for a screen shot of my macheist receipt to prove I had a legit license to begin with.

BTW... this should have been reported on the macheist discussion forums. That was the first place I went to trouble shoot, when my license didn't work. MOST of the folks who buy those bundles take the time to actually trade and register there licenses according to software developers wishes. I know you gave away the original license for free, and I know some dumb ass ruined it for the rest of the macheist crowd by posting the serial number. It sucks for you, but it also sucks for me that I have to buy a new license, even if I got the first one for free. If it sounds like I'm looking a dead gift horse in the mouth... well... I kind of am.

I'm not so mad at Frogames... as I am mad with the dumb ass (or dumb asses) who ruined it for the rest of us, by posting that original serial number.

I think that the serial in question was given to everyone. Your serial is the same as mine is the same as the other thousands of people here.

Why they act like they didn't see this coming however is beyond me. Others have done a one-serial-for-everyone deal in the past and haven't pulled this bait-and-switch crap. iPulse comes to mind (season one loot), and the serial to that one is still working.

It's a cute game but not a 'leftfordead2' epic. You can play similar games online at any flash game site.

It is more than easy enough to prove I and everyone else paid for the HacHeist this was loot for. So all they did was guarentee that I would never purchase any product from Frogames. Since their fix to this problem was to offer me a 50% off coupon instead of replacing the serial number all they did was show their complete lack of consideration for legitimate customers.

Since there are plenty of small mac game developers who do care about their customers I won't have any problem finding what I want elsewhere.

We didnt exactly pay for the software that was in our loot.

So….they haven't changed anything.
