I've only tried Mancala and Chess so far and both've frozen up on me. I'll try again later to see if I'm just being impatient, but I don't remember them doing this on others' computers in the past.

Freeverse is cool.  I bought Lineform, and since I've had Big Bang with one or two of my Macs, I bought it for the Xbox 360, and now it's in the MH bundle.  Nice little bonus.  I feel bad some people are having problems running it.  I have an MBP myself and it runs fine.  15" MacBook Pro, the model right before the dual touch pad.  nVidia GeForce m8600GT).

I have this as an OEM install on my Mac..  Since I don't know who to give it to, I'll wait in purchasing the bundle.

I have it too.  I noticed this one says "FULL" in the file name.  I wonder if it's any different than the OEM version.  I guess I could install it and find out if I wasn't so lazy. smile

Edit:
I just took a look at the disk image.  It's the same set of games as the OEM version, but it also has a folder called "Freebies".  It contains WingNut, Think, JARED, and a bunch of silly wallpaper.

And Think is so cool. I downloaded Backdrop the other day, but Think is so much more Mac-y

Network LAN bug in big board games in Leopard.  When the other player tries to connect it crashes.
Apparently they have know about this error since October 2007.  They promised to fix, but a year an a half later and nothing.  Will it be fixed?

Agree with the rest here - crash & burn on launch of any of the board games.  Wingnuts is fun, though.... I guess I wander over to Freeverse's site and see if there's a fix for their REALLY crashy software.  Not a good intro to the paid heist bundles.  Good thing there's Goo.

Leopard 10.5.6 here and Tic Tac Toe was running beautifully this morning. My son loved it. Can't say I've run everything yet, but no issues on the Alu iMac.

Got this free with my Macbook.  I ended up uninstalling it after upgrading to Leopard because it wouldn't work right, even after downloading the latest version.  The screen wouldn't refresh until I switched to another application and then switched back.  Hopefully now the application works better.

I just discovered this site today.  Is there any way to buy Big Bang Board Games by itself?
I don't have any interest in the bundle as it's stuff I'll never use.

Currently the buyers are up to 19,601, but I don't see anywhere how I can buy it without all the other stuff.

Thanks

Erm... that's sort of the point of a bundle...

Try the dev's website maybe, but surely you know many people who'd love to get the other apps, then you can help charity too!

Honestly games are not what I was holding out for. BBBG looks like a twist of eye candy planted on some old and simple games that are more fun to play outside of the cyber world arena. As for the inclusion of the BBBG in the bundle just for purchasing early, I dont think it encouraged me to purchase early in the least. But hey it s the thought that counts when giving so TY MH!

For multiplayer via iChat, do you know if the other player on your friend list that you invite to the game has to own the software as well? I guess I am a little confused as to how I can invite friends to play. I couldn't find anything detailing this on the developer's website.

It just crashes at start up. Some times I do get a launch Logo thing - but then locks up! I have uninstalled all remnants of the original and full install. I then reinstalled but still hangs! I gave up and removed all again! I guess I don't need it - however I will shy away from "Freeverse". I really don't think they care to support basically a free program, even if they bore new life into the games! wink

I had an older version of this on my new iMac (it came with the system). It worked great.  After installing the latest version, it no longer works (it hangs and crashes at the startup of any game).  This is very frustrating.  Hopefully, someone at MacHeist will look into this since a lot of buyers are experiencing the same problem.

I'm sorry to hear that people are having issues with this game. It's running perfectly for me so far on a 10.5.6 install. I have seen no crashes or freeze-ups yet. I am enjoying the games quite a bit. Hopefully you folks with issues will find some happiness in a solution soon. smile

I probably would have bought the bundle earlier if this game wasn't crashing for so many people. That's too bad.

The apps don't crash on me, but they're quite buggy. They take forever to start, using most on an 8 core machine, screw up my screen resolution without saving the state of my open windows, and then each one I've tried seems to have odd problems: for example I need to actually resize a window before any of the player's pieces are visible! That was a cute one -- I was clicking away, making moves and even losing the game but the window didn't show a thing!

So then I quit and have to manually rearrange the desktop and resize open window. Way too much work for a game.

I have zero problems with my little Macbook -Santa Rosa 4G RAM...no beachballs or wait, crashes or other problems. I have all new Leopard updates. No bugs.

I DO however not like that little hippy twit that you have to play against in "the computer".

i don't mind losing but if I can't fire back at the jerk - I think his comments are uncalled for!
