That's exactly what I thought at first, too. Until I noticed that there are so many people on the map, that they don't all seem to be displayed at the same time. So go down to the bottom left, choose the last page number and zoom to your location. That's how I found out that I actually was on the map.

Yippee, I'm finally on board! Stupid me, I didn't read the instructions and assumed that the location was extracted by Google from the MacHeist profile! It's a wonder I got this far...
