Known/Resolved problems:

Serials that show PHP errors: These originated from the developer's server while it was being overwhelmed by people licensing the app at once. They have been regenerated and should be resolved.

Serials that said "Has been sent" instead of showing a serial: The display was in error (they are NOT sent separately) and this has been resolved, you can now find your serial on your receipt

Unlock button doesn't dim: Remove any spaces before and after the license code

Espresso is still locked until enough money has been collected for charity.

I'm pretty sure all the apps have been unlocked before in the bundles. It might have taken to the last day, but I believe it has always happened. I'm trying out the beta right now and so far I love it. There are only a few concerns I have so far, but nothing major. I'm currently brushing up on my limited xhtml skills and I think this program will be quite enjoyable to use in the process. I just can't wait for the full version to unlock.

The Espresso goal has already been reached, kind of.

You can be sure the target will actually be reached though, it always is.

So, if we never reach that goal, nobody's getting espresso? I must say that espresso was pretty much the reason why I bought this, it was a major let down when I saw I had to wait.

If this is true than at the rate that its going, there is a slim change it will be reached.  By tomorrow the sales are going to slow down I'm sure. Although I am new to the bundle's.. just making an educated guess.

On the first day, the unlock point for Espresso, Boinx and HitList was 100K. Now it says 400K. I bought this bundle specifically for Espresso. Did I misread something or did the unlock change?

Not happy if it changed...

Please unlock Espresso, since the 100K is now reached.

doode: The unlock point shown was only for WireTap Studios. The current 400k target is only for BoinxTV. The last target, which is not public yet but is estimated above to be 1M would be for the last two apps.

This is the way MacHeist works and has always worked. And it is communicated.

Sorry, I don't think it's possible to get a refund. All applications has been unlocked in previous bundles and if sales goes down they might even lower the limit to speed them up again. Give it a few days and they will probably be unlocked soon.

relax, all the apps will end up unlocked. The fact that there is even a Espresso topic should tell you that they have every intention of giving you a license for it. it's just a marketing ploy to get people to refer new buyers, and create some drama to the whole thing.

Espresso will be unlocked and you will receive a valid license code and an official download of the final release once the "Mega-Unlock" is reached. There are three unlocks in the MacHeist Bundle. WireTap Studio was an unlock once it reached $100,000 in charity donations, BoinxTV will be unlocked once it reaches $400,000 in charity donations. Once BoinxTV is unlocked, you will see the denomination that needs to be reached to unlock Espresso.

In the mean time, refer your friends to buy the bundle and not only will you Unlock Espresso faster by speeding up the sales. If you use your referral code you can get more apps.

Maybe they'll take all the drama with registrations and check out into consideration and knock a few zeroes off the unlock value of the final espresso package.  But generally this is a very generous proposition and if anything we'll get more than we expect, rather than less.

All the unlock steps and procedures were communicated very well during the reveal show. I really wanted and hoped for Espresso from the very beginning. It looked good at the start until the server broke down after 1h or so.

Then after 2 days the sales rate went down and it looks like we're stuck far away to the $400k goal. Not to mention the $1M for Espresso. Almost looks like the bonus pack for the first 25,000 buyers was the major incentive so far - but it's gone now.

I just bought my 2nd bundle as a gift for a family member. If you can afford it give the bundle away to family, friends or homeless people (if they have a Mac :-P).

In my opinion MH should do more advertising to bring more people in. The bundle is a real bargain and I'm sure most Mac users would buy it instantly if they just knew about it. Don't forget to spread the word!

people should try to read the instructions thoroughly, but i can understand how it can be a little confusing. i hope a moderator or directorate member will come and confirm or deny this, but my best bet is that the last unlock point is probably either 1 million or 600,000 USD, not sure. if we don't reach it, you will still get your software. the unlock points are incentives for people to buy. you paid $39 for 12 pieces of software (not including freebie or big bang board games), and you will get it. don't bother trying to refund it, it would be too complicated to deactivate the licenses you already have. you will get your espresso, don't worry. if i'm wrong, sorry, this is just my best bet of what will happen.

I like Espresso a lot, so much so that if it doesn't make the unlock point I'll be happy to pay the $80 for the app.

However, I am having some problems with the app, it's a bit flaky in as much as the Snippets panel seems to get populated randomly and the code completion is the same. No help either is a bit of a pain and no documentation that I could find.

Otherwise I love it.

Hey, I bought in to the heist for Delicious Library 2 and Expresso.  (Even though I have the original DL, I like the gifting and wanted Expresso).  When I bought in, it said Expresso would be unlocked when $400K was raised for charity.  Well, it's about $419K right now, and Expresso is still locked.  The main page now says Expresso will be unlocked when $500K is raised for charity.  Is this just a queueing/timing problem or what?

You must have misunderstood the previous message, Espresso and The Hit List didn't have a visible unlock limit before, the $400k was for BoinxTV and not Espresso. Don't worry, Espresso and The Hit List will be unlocked, so you will get your license within 2 days from now or so.

I doubt Espresso is gonna be unlocked, and i will be upset because I bought the bundle thinking that since all other MacHeists have gone w/ all apps being unlocked that that would be the case this year as well... grrr.. I'm not complaining, just pessimistic and disappointed i guess. I love a few of the other apps, its just that Espresso would be the one that I'd be using every single day, and it looks like I'm not gonna get my hands on a copy.

I grabbed the demo to give it a shot, and I'm getting a pretty messed-up UI. The sidebar titles (like "projects", "tabs", etc) are showing up as white text with a light grey shadow. Barely readable. I'm not using any kind of theme app, just stock OS X. It's almost unusable in this state. I went ahead and grabbed the Espresso 1.01 update, but that didn't fix the issue.

Here's a screenshot : (postimage dot org) /image.php?v=aV1dbql9

Also, the "example" project only showed a preview the first time. After one preview, it shows as blank. Oddly enough, using "Reveal in Finder" and opening the index.html in Safari worked fine, but going back to Espresso and hitting the reload button in the preview did nothing for me.

Something probably related to the default behavior of the app that I think needs changing is -- when I type, say, "background" in a CSS file, Espresso correctly auto-completes the attribute for me, however, it automatically adds a semicolon. In doing so, it fails to auto-complete any values (no-repeat, fixed, url(), position, etc).  And, of course, hitting "return" after typing any such value moves that semicolon to the next line, meaning I first have to position the cursor PAST the semicolon (usually, just hitting the right arrow key) and THEN hit return. That sort of defeats the purpose of auto-complete, I think, since I don't notice the shifting semicolon until several lines later.

Is anyone else experiencing any of these issues?
