Ummm, got the license, but it doesn't work.

My license was not accepted.  I tried copy and paste but nothing showed up.  Tried type it in, still not work.

harry the hat (and others who are getting messages that say the apps don't work with their OS), make sure you've updated to the latest version of the operating system. When I went into Software Update and got 10.5.5, The Hit List started working.

The license key I received in the email for The Hit List does not work.  I get the invalid message error when I try to register.

My license key will not work.

I have figured out what I was doing wrong.  When you enter your license, you need to remove the hyphens from the License key.

I get a message that says hit list won't work with my version of Mac OS X.  What version do I need or is there anyway around this?

mine doesnt work to and when i wrote an email to the support (because i thought it was my name (köppel with ö)) and the answer a few hours later was:

Hi *****,

I don't have the orders yet from MacHeist. I'll get back to you when I do. Thanks!

I'll wait for an answer (problem is that the mail was send automatically through another mail adress(not the one i got the license) but i told him the mail adress for my bundle so i think he did everything right)

BTW Espresso license worked fine a few minutes after unlock^^

The download won't start as I click the icon.

I'm getting a "You can't open the application "the Hit List" because it is not supported on this architecture.... I'm running 10.5, I even tried downloading it from potionfactory and I'm getting the same result... is it just me?

I did get the serial - since I bought the bundle after it was unlocked.. But that doesn't work.

First try with license code did not work, second try did not work, third try was the charm.  Did everything exactly the same each time: cut and paste.  I did not include any blank spaces at any time.

I just bought the MacHeist3 Bundle and tried to open this application, but it seems that it's only for 10.5.3, not 10.5.2, which is what I have. Any suggestions? I'd really love to be able to use this!

When I try to use the purchase/unlock with license key, I get a box with tabs, but there is no place to enter the key.  Any hints?

Never mind.  It blew up, I restarted it and the I was able to enter the serial number.  Yeah!!!

I noticed that when I copied and pasted my license key, the paste did not seem to work. No worries, I tried it again and the paste worked. However, the license key was not accepted. Finally, I noticed that there were multiple lines in the license code field. Apparently, the first paste did work but it added a CR to the field. When I clear everything out and re-entered the license key (being careful to not add a carriage return to the end), it worked.

My serial doesnt work for Hit List. I contacted their support they have no information regarding the purchase

The unlock box has several lines in it, if you're unable to unlock you might have several lines entered with repeating serial numbers.

the serial i received for The Hit List is not working. any reason why? I have tried about 15 times

never mind got it....weird that there were several lines below the code that had to be deleted.

There's an update out. Though once I update it, and it goes to update the library, it gives an error say it can't. Anyone else?

I had the same thing happen and found the answer on a thread here. After the serial number is rejected, exit The Hit List application, start it again, then enter the serial number. This worked for me.

EDIT:  Scrap this question--The MacHeist bundle email with the serial numbers has dashes in the serial that I removed and all was well.

Help!  I am receiving the message: You can't open The Hit List.app because it is not supported on this architecture.

What are the requirements for The Hit List?  I just upgraded to Leopard, downloading updates right now.  1.8 GHz Power PC G5.  Do I have to have an intel computer to use this?

Sorry if I post this on the wrong thread. As a new Macheist agent (this is my first one, at Macheist 2 my order didn't go through), I'm still confused as how updates will be dealt with.

The Hit List is currently a beta software. I wonder what will happen if it reaches version 1.0. Will we get it with a special upgrade price (zero maybe)?

To those having the "unsupported architecture" message, check with the developer maybe?  I am running 10.5.6 on a 4 year old 1.33 GHz PPC PowerBook. THL runs with no problem. 

For the person running 10.5.3, try updating to 10.5.6 (it's free!) unless there is specifically some feature of 10.5.6 that is incompatible with your workplace policies.

As far as I understand it, the Bundle is essentially the same as a full-fledged Pre-order purchase, which means we'll get the 1.0 when released.

Downloaded Hit List but have only OS 10.4.11; I get the notice that this isn't a current enough version of OS X. What's the minimum version? Am I instead misinterpreting this message which means, in fact: it hasn't be released yet--or does that hurdle await, too, once I fix this initial problem?

I think it needs at least 10.5

just copy paste the serial, your name, deleted any spaces before and in front of the name and serial and your are good to go.

If this doesn't work, contact the dev.

Hello, I bought the MacHeist3 Bundle and this is a great bundle. I just have a problem regarding The Hit List.

Isn't The Hit List free software? Visit potionfactory.com and you'll see. Why is Macheist giving us beta software?

Your license from the bundle will support v 1.x when out of beta, your free download will stop working.

This may be a Beta, but I see fewer troubles with this than with other software that has been declared v1.0 and boy was it a popular draw for bundle sales.

Is there a way to access The Hit List via the web?  I am unfortunately bound to a PC at work and my boss is tired of me having two computers on my desk.  Ugh.

I received a serial key for The Hit List but it is not valid. Not sure who to contact.

Unless the number was wrong, the Potion Factory folks may be referring to the fact that you didn't make the purchase directly from them.  Sometimes after bundle purchases, it takes awhile before devs get the registration info input into their systems. 

Never fear, we'll get it taken care of....

Also, for the person getting the error that said to contact the dev for further instructions and wanted to know what to do....uh, contact the dev, maybe?   

Looks like the biggest issue so far is with some SNs not working initially.  So, after a rejection, quit the app, then relaunch it.  Copy and paste the SN info into the registration field.  Hopefully that will take care of it.

The Hit List does require OS X 10.5 to work.

I wonder why THL doesn't get an icon on the menu bar so we don't have to keep the THL window opened. (even if we can minimize it.)

This suggestion is because most of us need to keep THL on for the quick entry but maybe not always watching the task list.

You can close the main window but keep the whole application open. That way, you can use the quick entry shortcut. Just click the red button on the top left of the window to close the window, instead of quitting the application altogether.
