It's a small Atari 2600 Junior.  It's small and pretty dang neat looking.
I have the original type Atari and it appears that thing is going to outlive me, so I'd rather see someone here with an appreciation for the sort of thing or a case of the nostaliga flu have one.

It's about to get boxed up for 2-3 day shipping(on me).  I'll ship it when I can though, that may be as late as the end of the week, sorry.

It's got everything you need.  System, AC adapter, RCA cable, and RCA-coax adater, joystick, some games.
You may want to get a cheap d-pad or at least another joystick if you must be purist, because that joystick felt less than responsive now and then, it may be on its way out.  The system is compatible with a bunch of controllers for Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari 7800, Sega Master System, Genesis.

Anyway I just played it for a bit, works fine.  Some of the games still kick ass, IMO.
PM me if interested, and I'll provide some more info on stuff.

Feel free to view my Pitfall 2 speed run. tongue

Have I mentioned that you rock frigginjoe?

My grandpa had the system before this one (the name escapes me) but this was the first system I ever "owned" since my parents got it for my 5th or 6th birthday. You don't happen to have that controller that looked like a ancient cellphone (big number pad) with a miniature steering wheel at the top? Gotta have that for pole position.

I'm wanting to introduce my son to gaming (he turns six next week) but I'm fairly conservative so most games today just ain't cuttin' it for me. No GTA for him.

I sent you a PM. I hope I'm the first to ask for it. I'd love to own this system again.

I used to have that exact model. Rocked it out when I was 8. Appreciate it, but I'll stick with my Mac and COD4 though.

Taken.
I suggest searching youtube for cgrhd for some nice reviews on older stuff if you're into that.
Cartridge collecting is sort of fun.  It's also a cool historical piece, and some games are still quite fun.
My mom has this system and timing in Activision boxing so that once she hits you, she juggles you from left to right too many times to recover from. sad

That's actually Colecovision, and it's considerably more advanced than the Atari, lol.  That wasn't a steering wheel, either, just a very odd shape for a stick.  You may wanna check out some youtube vids of Atari 2600 games and reconsider before I ship. tongue

Ah, memories... I remember buying a 2600 with my paper route money when the neighbour kids only had Pong. Cost $300, which was a LOT of money in those days.

Okay, I'll stop there, I'm feeling ollllllld...

Anyone remember the old Intellivision? My very first gaming system. Boy have we come a long way. Space Invaders and Football FTW.

Actually, I guess it was a 5200. We only had it a year or two and then my parents sold it. For some reason I've always had it in my head that it was a 2600...you can see the similarities and how I may have been confused last night viewing on my iphone smile I think it was that metal strip across the middle that stands out in my memory.

So it looks like you'll make someone else a happy camper eh? You've set me on a mission though. Gonna have to check craigslist and Ebay. Or just bust my Grandpa's VCS (that's the name I was thinking of) out of the attic, since I realize now that's the same as what you've got basically.

Thanks for providing the impetus to look into this frigginjoe
