The application crashes on launch every time for me.  It's in /Applications, not being run from the dmg.  Just FYI.

From what I can see TinyGrab is almost identical to GrabUp. I have GrabUp on my menubar - should I replace?

I downloaded the dmg from the app's website and it works fine, no crashing. Can't activate it yet though because we don't have licenses. But I use Cmd+Shift+4 more than I use Skitch... so TinyGrab will be so useful

I used AppFresh to force the (same version) update from their site, and it worked after that.  The MH version must be broken or something.

Dear everyone with a crash,
Download it from http://tinygrab.com/download.php
There was a bugfix released shortly before the nanoBundle.  The version MacHeist has mirrored does not have this bugfix.

I have Skitch, LittleSnapper w/ Ember, and Dropbox but this little app is so easy and quick to use. I've never heard of it until the nanobundle. I think I'll keep it.

Isn't this free already and you pay for the premium membership?
Is there a premium subscription included or just the app with the free service?
Not shooting the program or its inclusion down, just wondering.

I'm wondering how to activate the "Premium" part of this, so I can use the FTP functionality. That's the only thing making this better than any other app, and so far I got nothing, despite a response from the app's Twitter account: twitter.com/tinygrab/status/5470051047

Anyone want to share the secret?

I would think that we are to get the premium version. On the MacHeist front page TinyGrab's value is $15 and on the developers site it says £10 which is $16.59 converted to US Dollars. I could be wrong but that's how I deduce it.

The serial we get will probably be for the premium version. But we don't have it yet so I don't really know.

With the new version of LittleSnapper having it's own small menu bar item I shan't use it, as I usually want to annotate the images first anyway, or keep them organised for later. I'm not posting links to images often. If I were, it would be useful.

with best regards,
Karn.

On the MH frontpage (click the TinyGrab icon to load the TinyGrab introductionpage) it says:

The version of TinyGrab that you get with the MacHeist nanoBundle is the full-blown, Premium edition. The benefits over the standard version are that you can have your screenshots and images uploaded to your own FTP server, search through them, and organize them online.

I think this might be the hit of the bundle!  I already use LittleSnapper, but this is better because of a) the speed b) the Windows version c) simpler online sharing d) ShortURL auto-generation... e) something else I can't think of right now.

I'm quite excited about this one right now!

abrahamvegh wrote:

I think when I went to my control panel on the web site, and enabled it from there (click "online account"), it must have communicated something to the client... then I could re-enter the FTP stuff there.  Either that or it's just a matter of waiting for it to enable.

Hey Guys,

Sorry for the lack of response from me directly. Being a Brit I was half asleep during the launch.

Due to the way that TinyGrab works you've all been created accounts. However because MacHeist and TinyGrab are getting bombarded on the server side registrations are taking a little longer than originally participated to process.

Please sit tight and wait until MacHeist reveal your password information on your receipts page.

I have FileShuttle installed and didn't realise that it uses the same keyboard shortcut version and not only uploads to ftp but even uses your bit.ly details.

Apart from the organization online and the Windows download option (handy for work) FileShuttle will do it do me smile

But fileshuttle needs FTP, not everyone has access to a FTP server.

This is an awesome app, very clean and does what it's supposed to do. The best app in the bundle.

I'm excited about this little program. The FTP access (thus more "permanent" image capture... no temporary storage) is an awesome little feature. I also use LittleSnapper, but I suspect TinyGrab may make it a bit less relevant for me.

Thanks MacHeist and TinyGrab developers!

Thanks very much for all of the support guys!

We aim to keep your grabs on our servers for as long as possible. We're powered by The Rackspace Cloud so hosting your images is a breeze.

Any donations to keep this 20 year old film student developer fed would be greatly appreciated.

We're constantly adding and expanding to TinyGrab so if you have any suggestions we'd love to hear them!

Best wishes to all and enjoy the heist!

I currently use FileShuttle just because (with the help of DockDodger), I can have it show in neither the dock nor the menubar. I would love to use TinyGrab for throwaway things and FileShuttle for the permanent ones, but don’t have room in my menu bar. If it could be invisible, I would definitely use TinyGrab.
