I got my license key but it says there's a problem with the serial number...?

So, I got a serial number from here at MacHeist, entered it into the app on my machine, and it accepts it with no complaints, looks like I'm off to the races. I did not register at the Mariner website. Do I need to do this? Will it stop working at some point, or am I good?

Registration with Mariner Software is totally optional - it's primarily so that you can easily retrieve your serial number from them should you ever lose it or need it quickly again.

I have a key, but it doesn't work :-(

they say ma license key i told them is wreong, there i, a problem they think help!

I do have a license key but it's not working.....

so macheist is closed, but still no serial? does that mean they didn't reach 500,000?

Has anyone else had issue with the application opening?

so I downloaded it last night-I installed it and it appears to run. I could not get the web-based registration to work so when I launched the app it asked for the information which I put in and it seems to have accepted it.

I downloaded the MacHeist nanoBundle, including the Mariner Write installer; except for MW all applications in the bundle installed fine and work great! Mariner Write installs the application icon, but it launches nothing. Is the archive corrupted, or incomplete?

For the millionth, bajillionth time, Mariner Write 3.9 is for OS X 10.5+ only. It will not work on 10.4. This is clearly stated on Mariner's website, and it's been stated on this support thread too. If you want a 10.4-compatible version, Mariner Write 3.8 is still available from Mariner's website.

Well, I'm confused as to how this bundle thing is supposed to work.
No apps, no license key.

This is a sad sob story - but maybe you all could help me get it rectified.

My wife visited MacHeist and downloaded your nano-Bundle and that included Intego. However, she did this while I was out of town and she did it as a surprise for me. She sent me to my download folder this afternoon and showed me what she had found. I immediately went to install Virus Barrier and had to look back in my browser history to find the right link to MacHeist. Low and behold the date apparently passed for VB.

So, here I am, on bended knee asking whether I might scooch under the tent and take advantage of VB?

I hope the answer is a YES.

It says there's a problem when registering Mariner Writer. However, I'm using the same info I put in with the correct serial. Why?

I downloaded the licence key but it still won't register

mine won't open, is anyone else having this problem? i have the license key, but i can't open it! it just bounces once on the dock and never opens.

@lmason - We are suspecting that you are running on Mac OS 10.4, Mariner Write 3.9 runs on Mac OS 10.5 and later. Version 3.8 works with 10.4  and can be downloaded here:

I think it doesnt work on tiger. It's for Leopard.

Odd, I am having the same issue as Hui Buh. It does...nothing.

I didn't get the licence either and can't find the e-mail I only have the PDF I printed when I purchased the package.

Yeah, this is ridiculous, a year & a half later, and this program is completely unusable. 500,000 customers is an awful high hurdle to demand being hit, and it appears you've given up trying. So why not just give those customers sitting with an inoperable program serial numbers.....   OK, now I just found out it's now showing on the order page, it would be nice to have that fact be a little clearer...
