Oh for god's sake.

Torrent apps aren't just for pirating music. Yes, they can be used for such ends, but so can YouTube in the form of music videos. So can RapidShare. If that's all that torrents were good for, don't you think the projects would have been shut down by now?

There are tons of legal torrents out there. For example, most if not all Linux distributions. Or even free game downloads. There was one free game where we offered it via torrent so that we could curb the cost of bandwidth on our server. There are tons of applications for torrents.

Except everything listed in Xtorrent is illegal. That particular program is meant for pirating.

Are you talking about this xtorrent? This looks just as legal as any other.

I downloaded the trial version. My first search rendered such illegal items as ChromeOS, SketchUp, SXSW and the Avatar trailer.

Sure, there are other things listed that aren't so legal, but that's the same with any torrenting search engine that I know of. Still strikes your "everything listed" argument though.

That should be pretty obvious. Who gives away ScreenFlow or Pixelmator for free? Especially someone with 2 posts. This is the Giveaway request thread after all, so it's safe to assume that unless someone says they are giving something away, they are requesting it.

Actually, I was already gifted the first version of xTorrent on MacHeist last year. I accidentally updated to the 2.0 version and I lost my licensing. I was merely stating that if someone doesn't need a license to xTorrent, I would love it. I have the unregistered version, and frankly, it works fine, though I wish I could get my registered version back.

Like Miah said, there are plenty of uses for torrenting. Personally, I use it to watch shows that I can't get in the US, such as anime and Top Gear. Both of which are legally available online. I just prefer to have the HD file to watch.

OK, I thought you meant to use it for pirating smile.

"Torrent" is not a dirty word, it's just that, unfortunately, it's a technology that makes pirating easy and so is used a large part of the time for pirating.  Any good technology can be abused.

Guys I need a program that will help me with my new years resolutions. So, may I ask once again if anybody has Aspire for Unifiq? We can discuss the price...

Thanks again!

So my last giveaway fell through. I am still trying to get rid of iCash. I got in a bundle and I don't want it. I tried to sell it for only $4, but no one seemed to want it. Possibly because the dev won't transfer information but he has given me permission to give someone else the serial, which is all the app needs. Also, it is for version 5. Version 6 recently came out. If you are interested in having it, let me know and send me a PM.

I'd like MindNode Pro if anyone has a spare. I find it quite powerful and easy to use for school purposes.

this is a powerful app for a really low price ($19) and I can't believe that someone who bought it will give it away ;-)

And on the other hand, for school I think MindNode (w/o the pro) is as good and it is for free.

Normally, I would buy Pro, but as $19 is about HKD133, it is quite expensive. Here, things are comparatively cheap (HKD3 - which is about 40¢ - to get from one end of the city to the other end). And I've tried the normal one, but the things I need most are relationships and node folding. My maps can get a bit messy at times and relationships help me remember why they're there. Those two features really should be in the free version as $19 isn't really a justified price (even though there are other features Pro has that free doesn’t).

how is 19$ not justifiable for a useful app?

go with xmind if you like a free mindmapping prog. doesn´t look as smooth but offers a lot more features.

For $19, it is justifiable if you use all the other features like export as image, or any others specified here. However, I only need the two features stated in my post above. I've also tried Xmind but it is heavy on my Mac and it just doesn’t feel right. I would definitely buy MindNode Pro if I used all the other Pro features, but since I don't, I'll just try my luck at asking.

Like always in life: You can get what you really want almost every time. And 19$ isn´t that much of a constraint...

[s]I am pretty sure that they deactivated these codes. They also removed it from the loot page shortly after it was given to us. Apparently there was some mistake and they did not actually want to give it out.[/s]

I am aware of that, but I got my license just fine and it shows in my Equinux product page. I think they were meant to be given out, it was just a very limited time offer. Either way, I have a legitimate activation for it.

I would be very thankful if a fellow member of the green team (or anyone else) would be kind to give away a license of iFlicks that currently isn't using.
It was an app awarded as a team prize to the first place in the team competition, and since I was on the orange team I didn't get it.

Thanks in advance!

The thread was supposed to die after license trading was banned.  The fact that you say that and then go on asking for a license makes no sense to me.  Reported.
