Someone mentioned GooFans...I just looked that up. Here's the link:
Looks like an interesting way to extend your game experience

I love the game, but one problem. I'm on a new Mac Pro with external EMU USB sound card and speakers. When the speakers are set to the monitor speakers they sound fine, but nothing comes out when it's set to the external EMU. The Cinema display speakers are pretty bad, I'd really like to get it through the external system. Any idea?
Someone posted on the WoG forums about obtaining the Linux version of World of Goo when they bought it from Steam. GreyPoint replied with the following post. I have adapted it to instruct on how to obtain the full versions of the Windows and Linux copes if you got the Mac version from MacHeist.
Yes. First download the Linux (Or Windows) demo and install it. Then copy the res directory and the *.bin files in the properties directory from your Mac World of Goo app (Contents/Resources/game/) to your Linux/Windows installation. Now the Linux/Windows demo should be the full game.
This also applies to playing it on Mac if you bought the Windows or Linux version.

It is a too easy game
How far did you get?
I find it gets real challenging after a few simple learning levels.

I started yesterday, and finished it today
I had hoped to get more fun out of it. Finished the game in 7,5 hours.
Wow, could be that I invest maybe 10-20 minutes per session.
I guess you can build up a tower online now, or retry the levels to unlock more goo's to put towards it.
I find it to be pretty fun, not too hard or too easy, myself. Maybe they had the amateur like me in mind. ![]()

Now you need to beat all the levels with OCD scores! (You get the little OCD flag that goes up for the level if you match the requirements.)

It's in my top few for now, despite the fact that the developers obviously took the idea from all the little kids that... nope, not finishing this post.

I guess you didn't read page #6 in this topic?
I found that fix on another site - tried it but it didn't work. For the heck I tried it again and this time it worked, must be an updated irrklang. Thanks -

Did you try this? I can't get it to work on either platform. I get Segmentation Faults on Ubuntu and access violations on Windows.

Bankrupt World of Goo publisher won't axe employees
Wow, I almost panicked there. This is the publisher "Brighter Minds" and NOT the studio "2D Boy". Whew.

Just finished WoG a couple nights ago. What a great little game!
It's inspiring to see what a couple independent developers can do when something is well thought out and executed.

Fantastic tip! I might go and see how it runs under Linux one of these days!
I just realized you can enable a proper widescreen mode by editing the config.txt file that lives inside the world of goo application package.
/Applications/Games/World\ of\ Goo.antents/Resources/game/properties/config.txt
just edit "Screen Width and "Screen height" to the resolution of your monitor. For instance, I've enabled proper native resolution on my macbook pro thusly:
<!-- IMPORTANT WARNING: If you edit this file, your computer will probably explode. Your friend, the High Resolution Sign Painter -->
<config>
<param name="language" value="{LANG}"/>
<param name="screen_width" value="1440"/>
<param name="screen_height" value="900"/>
<param name="refreshrate" value="60" />
<param name="ui_inset" value="10"/>
</config>In communist russia, the normal force pushes on you!

And if you're playing World of Goo on Steam, the config file is at:
~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/world of goo/World of Goo.app/Contents/Resources/game/properties/config.txt
I wanted to re-download this but the link in my MacHeist 3 order receipts is dead (you didn't get a serial you just got a download link)!? Can I find it anywhere else?
