Hmm... must have tried more than 10 times, and suddenly it works. I think the problem is that when I was copying and pasting it was taking text that wasn't part of the code/name. Then when you paste it into the window it is hidden and you can't tell there is extra text. I used forward delete and backward delete to be sure I didn't have any extra hidden text.
Nothing lasts forever, it doesn't hurt to download everything as soon as you are able.
I would also recommend activating your apps as soon as you are able. Even if not specifically time-limited, licenses may not work forever, e.g. if you don't try to activate one of the licenses until 2014 there's no guarantee the software will even run on whatever version of the OS is around in 2014, and even if the app works the license might not. The license you get today could be for a certain version/release of the software (say version 3.0), but you need version 6.0 to run on your 2014 OS so the license wouldn't work. The developer could change their activation process in the 4 years, or they might not support the product in 4 years.

You must running OSX 10.5 or higher.

Why is RipIt rejecting my name and serial number?
Something may have been corrupted with your download. Try completely deleting RipIt off your machine, and reinstalling a fresh copy from our website. Carefully copy and paste your name AND registration code from the purchase receipt. Make sure there are no extra spaces attached at the end of either field. If you still have trouble, please contact us.

RipIt is not accepting the Name and Serial Number. What gives? How can this be fixed?
Hi, I've downloaded RipIt from MacHeist nanobundle 2 and got the license no problem, but I can't install RipIt.
Everytime I click on the RipIt icon on my desktop to install, the RipIt logo bounces in my dock for a bit, and then my Mac freezes. At the same time, the screen goes slightly grey and there is an error message in a few languages, saying I have to restart or shut down the mac. As I said, the whole Mac freezes; I can't use the keyboard or mouse, so I press and hold the On/Off until it manually shuts down.
I'm on Mac OS X version 10.5.8.
Any ideas on what to do?
For the Registration issue from MacHeist, do NOT copy and paste the Serial.
1. Enter your Name (not email) in the Name field.
2. TYPE the Serial number in.
RipIt doesn't like the serial number from the MacHeist confirmation. I'm guessing it contains hidden characters, or they used em-dash instead of dash. Either way, I finally got the code to work after manually typing it.
Do you happen to know if there is a version of RipIt that will install and run on Tiger (10.4+)?
Do you happen to know if there is a version of RipIt that will install and run on Tiger (10.4+)?
I don't think there is, as I am pretty sure it has always relied on Leopard and Snow Leopard technologies not found in Tiger.

Dear Support:
I purchased RipIt as part of a package for which I have a receipt and transaction id. Today after accepting a notification that an update to the RipIt program was available, the program will now not open on my Mac. I wish to have the version I purchased re-installed on my Mac as it worked fine and I liked the program.
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
Shawn
