Kewl, can't wait. I want to try to do a heist all by myself, because up till now, I've had to use the walkthroughs on all of them.

How does everyone know when it's going to be? I thought it was supposed to be a secret.

Since the safebox panel is gone, I really doubt that there is a heist 6, at least during the bundle promotion period.

hmm.. there may actually be a discount involved. if phil figures everyone who really wants the bundle will buy it within the first few days, he could easily put a $4 discount in heist 6 to get some last minute customers, and that would get the price down to $45... and in addition to seeing if you even get the last two apps, i think it would be best to wait.

That means punishing the enthusiastic people, by their nature, the most likely to participate in future MacHeist variants. If it reaches a point where people feel they ought to wait before buying, in case a discount comes, sales get put off.

It benefits once, but the longterm effects are negative.

Does anyone know if the existing "bundle discounts" many of us have now are currently being applied to the bundle purchase? I like the charity thing, but the fact you may only get 8 for the bundle, maybe 10 depending on sales is scary. Either way its a good deal but this is real money we are spending on this stuff, I think people would rather know exactly what they will get for the $50.

What would be really awesome is if heist 6 unlocks the locked apps.

I really want TextMate and I don't think we can hit 100k.

I know my discount coupons lowered my bundle price.  I paid $39.

i wouldn't worry about textmate. my bet is version 2 will be imminently released, and it will be a paid upgrade, even with a full license.

i hate to be honest, but it has gone on far too long at it's price, looking as ugly as it does (hey, it matters).

I'm crossing my fingers for AppZapper as a freebie for the next heist. It seems strange it wasn't in the bundle.

yeah... i guess they didn't want to have that and disco in the bundle. problem is i think it is still profitable, so i doubt they would give it away.

There was a 4 dollar off coupon for AppZapper that you could find during the 4th Heist.  The promotion code was "maczot".  I picked up a copy, I don't know if the code still works.

i've never gotten the big deal with candybar. It just manages icons, right? what's so great about that?

Candybar is great. it changes any icons you have to whatever image you want. Wouldn't you like to be able to change your Trash or Finder icon for example, max?
And if not, some people sure would.

I took the App Zapper coupon code as meaning it wouldn't be in the bundle or given away, so I picked it up.  I can't really see cssedit and Transmit, they only really appeal to the Web Developers out there.  Thats quite a specific group to aim for where all the other apps, including those in the bundle, have had a pretty broad appeal.

Being fairly new to Macs (and a quick addict of MacZOT!), I've only used SubEthaEdit.  The only thing I feel it lacks is tabs.  Is TextMate significantly better (I see it uses tabs for seperate files, rather than individual windows)?

Oh, and yes, you found me.    You'll find this monicker everywhere if you go looking hard enough.  MAF, the CH, here, MacZOT!, IMG, and any other major Mac-centric forum you can think of.  I try to keep the same ID everywhere I go so people know me.
