Tweetie is staying on my mac. Can't stand the GUI on Twitterrific, very ugly and no real options to make it better, like font selection and such..
I prefer Twitterific's UI over Tweetie. But it just doesn't have the features that Tweetie does.

Personally, I am switching to Twiteriffic until Tweetie 2.0 finally is released and/or Socialite's bugs are ironed out.

I'll be staying with Nambu, the features are so far ahead of this. It even allows you to see images without having to visit annoying sites like iFrog.
Socialite doesn't seem too bad, but I only use Twitter anyway, and Nambu is better at it and improving every week!
with best regards,
Karn.

I was using Twitterific since a year and then moved to Twiitie for Mac upon release. However, after several feedbacks about hiding dock icon, etc. and having no response, I moved back to Twitterific. I also have it on my iPhone.
Its a great Twitter client, and now I dont have Ads!!

I used Socialite back when it was called Eventbox. Nice design/concept, but it proved way too buggy for me. Lots of hangs, crashes, memory leaks, etc. I've been loving Tweetie for a while, but I will definitely be giving Twitteriffic a chance. If it's one thing the Iconfactory understands, it's good design.

I preferred Twitterific over Tweetie ... nicer GUI and easier handling. But since I want to stay up do date on multiple accounts plus Facebook, I am a faithful TweetDeck user on my Macbook and iMac.

A few features make Twitterrific a big hit for me. One is that I can automatically hide the Tweet window when I switch to another application. And the other is that it can remember where I last left off based upon where I've scrolled. Thanks guys!

Tried Twitterific this weekend and now I'm back on Tweetie. Maybe if Tweetie didn't exist I'd be using Twitterific, I guess we'll never know.

I thought this would be nice because it claims "Supports multiple Twitter accounts", but you can actually only be logged into one at a time. So I'll stick with Nambu.

I already use Twitterific on my Ipod touch, but the desktop version is very nice.
I'll give Twitterrific a few more days to see if it grows on me. But, I guess, I'm just too spoiled by Tweetie. Interface-wise I'm not not sold into it; I really like the sounds, though.

@Jaufi I think it automatically shortens it with bit.ly
Fantastic. After a really bad experience with eventbox, I was using twitterific
(the ad supported version). Getting this for free is a great deal. I adore twitterrific..

Good thing there is Tweetie, try to improve Twitterrific so that will come by and maybe stay.
Prefer Twitterrific with no reason. May just because of its cute icon ![]()

I bet they still haven't implemented a conversation view in version 4.

That's horribly goddamn disappointing. I want a reason to quit Tweetie.
Well...
Shit.
Meanwhile, rumor has it Tweetie 2 IS going to be in the App Store.

That was the expletive at the end of the post.
Twitterific 4 has just been released. The icon factory site states "Owners of version 3 for Mac and the Macheist Nano bundle qualify for a discounted upgrade, only available at the Iconfactory."
Wow, a whopping $2 off. I have never seen an upgrade price as high as 80% of the regular cost before. Especially considering original purchasers paid $20 for the last version if I remember correctly.

12 dollars if I remember.
You're better off buying it from the App Store anyway.
Just like the updated iPhone version, this new desktop Twitterrific is unappealing to me. I suppose I'm not the target demographic.
It's all about a straightforward Twitter client. I love it. Are there things missing that I would like? Sure. But I love using it.
