I hope this is the case, it should insure that the tweet syncing still works whenever it gets implemented

It's all great news. Count me in… still.
Finding a truly great app like Tweetie in the nanobundle was icing on the cake.
Although you can change without improving, you can't improve without changing!

Tweetie 2's icon was damn near perfect. That said, Twitter obviously have a lot of talented designers, so I'm not sure. I reckon it'll be about as good.

As you may know Twitter did eventually get around to changing the logo of Tweetie 2 (Now known as Twitter). IMO the new logo sucks, but like I said that is just my opinion. I am not so sure I like the contents of the link posted by Gonzie. It seems to be saying that Tweetie 2 for Mac also will be completely free and they will be doing away with a paid version which likely means there could be ads (maybe not), but with the macheist nanobundle I bought I recieved the ad free version. I of course don't know what will happen with Tweetie 2, but I hope whatever does happen is good.

What bothers me is that Twitter's move here has totally deflated the motivation of other Twitter client developers, meaning those of us who never did get what they want from Tweetie will now probably never get what we want as Twitter change the API more and our favourite client doesn't move with it. I can't see why Twitter have done this other than to get seriously 'My bat, My ball' with it and kill a lot of other apps. This is happening on the Mac desktop now, not just the iPhone (which I don't have).
Not in the least impressed here.

Nah it's all good. I've seen parents let their kids ride out their tantrums and then they calm down and go to sleep soon after. This is the best way to handle johnnybdot. He'll wake up all refreshed and bright-eyed once he gets it all out of his system. He's really a good boy... just a bit colicky.

If you pay me $5000 to build a house on the moon in four weeks, will I build it? No. Building a house on ground takes months, and it takes more than a briefcase of money to do it as well
