NOTE: THIS MISSION HAS BEEN REMOVED

In January of this year, Phill announced a "backdoor" that was hidden in the Twitter for Mac app - http://macheist.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=18932 - by "Click(ing) the Help menu

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/Screenshot2011-01-06at121020PM.png

Then by "hold(ing) command + option + control at the same time." You will be brought to the following secret window:

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/Screenshot2011-01-06at120837PM.png

Hidden at the bottom of the screen is a small tab, which you can drag up. (The text on the tap is backwards, the image shows the tab after being mirrored.)

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/i84j.jpg

Clicking on the message redirects you to the MacHeist Home Page.

Everything remained uneventful until the evening of May 18th when MacHeist posted the following, directing people to the MacHeist homepage:

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/Screenshot2011-05-19at103824AM.jpg

From any iOS device (iPod, iPad, iPhone) or using the iOS simulator available via the Apple Developers website, navigate to http://www.MacHeist.com

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/photo1.png

Using 2 fingers, grasp and rotate the background "maze" image and lights will appear across the top of the page

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/photo3.png

Continue to rotate the image until all 4 of the lights are illuminated

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/photo2.png

The symbols in the lights that are illuminated  match the symbols in the message that was discovered in the Twitter link.

A confidential message will appear on the screen

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/photo4.png

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/paper.jpg

Click the message to open it, revealing a blueprint

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/photo5.png

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/blueprint.jpg

The blueprint appears to be of an unknown secure location, in the upper right corner of the blue print is the address for Apples flagship New York City store.

http://www.apple.com/retail/fifthavenue/

It's not clear what the 4g refers to.

Accross the bottom of the home page, below the twitter crawl, which contains the following repeating sequence

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n619/omgNoNotYouAgain/ticks-20110518-181003.png

T2 JB R8 13 WB
JY A7 03 E4 Q7
DG KR 41 T2 PO

the significance of this sequence,if any, is not yet known.

This is not starting well for me lol...

When I go to the right url with iPhone 3GS, I am presented with the safe image and some lights are coming out of it.. The top left buttons are not rendered as yours and I don't get the tweets in the bottom either (just some faint stripes). When I try to rotate the maze with two fingers (in any way possible) the only thing that happens is the browser window that moves up and down?

I must be stupid lol...

I'm gonna have to say the incorporation of multi-touch gestures in the puzzle gives it a nice feel, making it seem like your really doing something hands on. I wouldn't mind if a lot of the heists required some sort of iOS device.

The pigpen puzzle part is a red herring. You can put any text in, like "banana", hit encrypt, then hit Pigpen puzzle. Same result. The source text "What medicine..." is hard coded in the page.

i believe the current consensus is that we must wait to see what comes next….  the alpha-numeric code at the bottom of the page may be the next clue but nobody has been able to make heads or tails of it….

hard to say

at this point in time its not clear if you have to clear these hurdles to move on to the next step, whatever it may be, or if this is just a puzzle to get people back in the swing of things and heighten the overall experience….  I suspect its the latter

The "Coming later this year" was probably a reference to the next version of Tweetie (Twitter for Mac), not MacHeist.

That being said, the blueprint might be the layout of the inside of the Apple store, perhaps someone should go to the store and see what's hanging on the wall where it says "Access Panel" on the map. Of course, the map could be completely irrelevant here, and just "artwork."

4G? When I think of 4G, I think of levels of a building. G is usually like Ground Floor. Maybe 4G is the secret 4th floor only accessible by that elevator when someone puts a key in or something. Like, G would be the store. 2G Would be a employee's room. 3G would be storage. And then 4G would be that blueprint that's on the homepage.
