Stuffit requires MacFuse to be installed.  MacFuse is a dead project but there are still developers and companies putting out unofficial releases to fix bugs and probably the most popular is Tuxtera 2.2 or 2.2.1 which are both Lion compatible.

Here is a link for 2.2 - http://www.tuxera.com/mac/macfuse/MacFU … ra-2.2.dmg

A correction and a clarification:

1. Stuffit does NOT require MacFUSE. It can make use of MacFUSE to mount archives so they appear as drives, but this is an optional feature.

2. MacFUSE has been superseded by two projects, Fuse4X and OSXFUSE. OSXFUSE has a compatibility layer that allows it to be a drop-in replacement for MacFuse, so programs written to use MacFuse can work seamlessly with OSXFUSE.

The serial number will be on the "purchase" confirmation page and in the email you should receive.

That's what I expected, but there is just an order number and no serial number.
I did a second order for the windows version, just to see, if it is the same: It is.

There should be something like SDXA-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxx or so, but there is nothing like that.

They apparently ran out of serial numbers because the promotion got pummeled after someone posted it on Slickdeals. They may send out serial numbers later, or you may have to contact them directly.
