Here's my affiliate link if anyone is feeling generous - http://www.productivemacs.com/a/37528 All proceeds go towards feeding my needy children tongue

All in all this is a pretty decent bundle. I have quite a few of the apps myself but still considering a purchase. Nice to see a decent bundle again, I was thinking one would never surface again.

Jacob - How is Trickster different from Blast? I use Blast quite a bit at the moment so I'm quite curious.

Thanks

Agreed. It's a nice bundle at good price but, IMHO, too many repeats to make it interesting for long-time MacHeisters.

It does seem like a decent bundle even if you are wanting only 2  or 3 of these great apps. For me, I already own 5 of these apps so I think I will have to pass though.

@Sulcalibur, Trickster is basically a new app. New design, database backend for handling large amount of files. Heavy background processing. Greatly reduced CPU usage. Custom filters. Search by file name. Sort by name. What you track (globally and custom filters) can be specified with more settings, like excludes, whitelist, name, extension matching etc.

Improved favorites handling, flagging of items. Two view modes (small and large rows).

Overall, a huge upgrade.
Take it for a spin.

Almost worth it for me, as I need an upgrade for HoudahSpot and would be happy with a MacJournal upgrade as well.  Mailtags may have made it a deal for me, but the MailTags website acknowledges that tags can't be saved to Gmail IMAP.  Without complete Gmail compatibility, MailTags is rather useless (at least to me).

I do like DevonThink, and miss HoudahSpot since upgrading to Lion (previous version doesn't work in Lion).  Neither are everyday use apps for me, though.  Never have liked RapidWeaver.

One thing I don't understand when organizing a bundle is why would they put MacJournal and DEVONthink, two programs that do the same thing, in a single bundle? I HoudahSpot really any better than just using Spotlight?

Great bundle, especially at this price. I own and use all of them (except Trickster) regularly.

DevonThink and MacJournal do the same thing? I must be missing something here. I've been using DTPO fro three years now and I also have a license for MacJournal. Stumped! Don't know where to start. Two totally different apps. The basic DevonThink is nowhere as fully featured as DTPO but it serves a totally different need to MacJournal, which has little of the search functionality of DevonThink.

Where did you get the idea they were similar?

I didn't go to university. Didn't even finish A-levels. But I have sympathy
for those who did.

Because I own both programs also and used them for the same purpose.  I didn't go through with a microscope and try find the differences, but from what I saw they were very familiar.  I don't have the pro version of DT and that is not what is for sale.  It's the personal version, so that is what I am comparing to.  I'd love to see a side by side list or something of equal value to see where they split off on features.  I'd like to pick the best and stick with it.  I had DT first and then switched to MJ because of the layout and how clean and functional it seems compared to DT.  Maybe DT has change since a couple of years ago?  Can you tell me some features of DT that are great that MJ can't do?

Note: Because this is text your reading and not hearing my voice you may think I am being cocky but I'm not.  This is one thing I hate about communication through text.

Printopia is the only one in the list that interests me that I don't already own in some version or other. The only one I use out of those is Voila, and not enough to make a difference to get an updated/second copy. Had they included 1password (already own it, but it's old), FX Photo Studio Pro (already own it), it would have been more interesting. I might have bought it for Prizmo outright though. Unlike others, Trickster and HoudahSpot do not interest me much, don't see the point in either one.
