Related to the "boom" page hidden message, if you tilt your screen after clicking the match, you can see the top half of the letters MAO. Not sure if this would really be all too helpful but it's something.

I get the text "2275 There are five ways of attacking with fire... – Sun Tzu" when I hover the match.

It's nothing I recognize, it maybe doesn't mean anything "secret"?

Actually the number increases everytime you click on a link... I've tried this several times and it worked. So if this would be like a secret code it would be related on how many times you've clicked since you remembered the number...

Ah, good point.

2307 here and 2313 after clicking the match

I'm seeing 2328. What could the numbers mean. What are other people's numbers, anyone?

I guess the number changes everytime anyone clicks on a link. I've started with the number 2317 but now it's gone up to 2343. But it could also be a time related number. I'm not sure so far. What do you think?

Could it be counting up towards something? If we click it enough, will it ignite and start the heist early? smile (Hey, I can dream, right?)

It's time related. When I reloaded straight after the last time I checked it went up by 1. When I waited a while, it went up by 10 or so. What does it all mean though?

Its also interesting that it says there are "five ways of attacking with fire" and five weeks for the contest - so every week a new way to attack?

Here are the 5 ways btw:
Sun Tzu: There are five ways of attacking with fire.
The first is burning troops.
The second is burning supplies.
The third is burning supply transport.
The fourth is burning storehouses.
The fifth is burning camps.

It's been said before that it could be how many users are registered and when it gets to a certain point the contest starts. That's plausible because it certainly doesn't seem to be climbing by a regular interval.

Where did you see 2275?

The number on the match is simply how many times the match has been clicked. At least that's what I'm guessing. Once you rub the match enough times, it'll spark... perhaps.

If it is time-based though, let's find out how many there are until tomorrow at midnight.

If you click the match head, you go to a screen that lets you invite 3 more friends. Now, I don't have any Mac-using friends or family, so I haven't used my 3 invitations yet. Thus, I don't know if clicking the match gives me 3 *more* invitations, or is just a link to my existing invitations. Can someone who has sent their initial 3 invitations click the match head & see if they get 3 more?

the match number (tooltip) may be how many hits its has gotten? Not click, but how many times it has been viewed?

Also, there is the contrast watermark on the homepage now!

It doesn't say MAO, but MAC. It is the top part of the Mac Heist icon. You can tell because the same thing is on the front page (for members). In the backround, behind the welcome notice is the logo which looks the same as the MAC in the match page, but is complete and shows the "heist" under it.

Is it possible that it has something to do with that there's five weeks? So maybe the mac apps we get will have different themes each week.
I don't know, just a guess.

It said something in there like, the proper time to start a fire is when the moon is in the sign of the something. Maybe we can find out what that's all about?
