Nanosaur 2 is the best man. I've had it for a long time now. Really good game.

So I ended up buying Bugdom2, but it doesn't work. It keeps quitting itself everytime the game starts.

Panega loves to circumvent you if you use Little Snitch. Are you using it?

I just can't get the motion of the 3d games down (Bugdom, Nanosaur, etc), so I'm recommending Enigmo.

Aha, that could be it. But Little Snitch announces when it automatically denies anything.

Let me try again with it disabled.

Update: Yes! Thanks Miah! It worked! Woow! Sweet little game.  But yeah, stick with nanosaur!

yaeh, littlesnitch is the problem, i just got an email back from pangea support.

i don't like that at all.  I mean i can see it's probably just trying to protect from people pirating their serials and games, but i don't particualrly like that, I have never had a single other program have any sort of issue with little snitch, and i don't see any way it's having a problem with little snitch.  I just think if they're worried about people stealing if that's it, they should make it so you need to have little snitch allow network out for their games.

Pangea games look for Little Snitch, and if its installed the game just won't run.  I'm not sure if disabling LS will help though.

they say that it just needs to be turned off

'You've probably got a utility called Little Snitch running.  That application is not compatible with most of our games.  Turn it off and the games should run fine.

-Brian '

but i haven't tried yet, i prefer little snitch to games anyway.

I chosen enigmo: i didn’t really like Bugdom and Nanosaur (but it was the 1st version of both) that came bundled with my previous macs, but a lot of time ago i was impressed by a demo of the first enigmo which i hadn’t the money to buy… I was really pleased to see it bundled! smile

Now, please people put your hand to the wallet: i really really want my newsfire and textmate!! big_smile big_smile

BTW: “chosen” or “choosed”?? Which one is correct?

In Pangea's eyes if you use Little Snitch, you = thief.
Obviously this is true, just as iPods are used only by music pirates!

I once hung out with a music pirate...he couldn't sail worth a lick, but he had great musical tastes...his favorite bands were Gust"arrrr", Joseph Arth"arrrr", Kenny Rog"arrrrs", OAR"rrrrrr", Weez"arrr", and oddly enough Jewel (he said her lyrics spoke to him).

PS - this post has no redeeming qualities other than the fact that I wanted to find a reason to say the names of bands in my itunes with a pirate voice.  My apologies.

Indeed, nanosaur or the puzzle, the puzzle is tricky, but fun. I don't really like the cameracontrols though.

What's Pangea going to do when Leopard comes out?  There are screenshots that show Leopard has a Little Snitch-like firewall built-in.  Brian can't possibly force us to turn off our Firewalls when we play Pangea games.

'Pangea games look for Little Snitch, and if its installed the game just won't run.'

That's why Pangea sucks!
Why should they tell me what programs I'm alowed to use?
If they tell you to turn of your firewall to use their programs, should you do that!?

[LS has nothing to do with pirating SW!]

Why are you sad about that?
They should!
I'm not buying the bundle for that!

I choose, and you make your own!

I like Pangea Arcade a lot! I just wish I could reconfigure the controls as my Macbook's spacebar is a little bit messed up.

With the bundle's included Pangea arcade, I now own all of pangea's games.

Every last one of them runs perfectly fine with the latest Little Snitch installed.

All you need to do is the following.

When the game first starts up during any session, LS will tell you that the pangea game is trying to connect to a particular address. Deny the connection until the application quits (do not deny all connections always).

The game will quit. Relaunch it and the game won't even try to connect to the Internet, and the game will play just fine.

The same pattern needs to be followed for each game of theirs you wish to play.

Aric

did that, didn't work for me.  deny'd that connection till it quit, restarted, no luck. same problem.  then I tried again, same thing.  finally turned off little snitch and it finally let me in.  lame

I wonder if there's not something more to this, because it certainly works for me. Still, if this is true, it is very disturbing.

yeah, I don't get it, i've tried a couple times, resetting the rules for that app, blocking it, restarting, always with the same problem.  only way i can get it to work is to stop littlesnitch, that's just ridiculous.  I paid for a license (yeah, it was in teh bundle, and cheap, but i'm guessing this isn't a special build of the game with this built in) and to play it they expect me to turn off other apps they have nothing to do with?  there are other ways to try to thwart piracy.
