Hey all,
We're getting prepped for the upcoming MacHeist II and the bundle that'll be going along with it. We're in the process of picking the bundle apps and we'd love to hear your opinions on which apps you'd love to see included in the next bundle.
One thing that we felt would be important when we originally planned MacHeist was that we'd have a "no dupes" policy for all the bundles. So in any future ones you wouldn't repeatedly see the dreaded iClip in it over and over, etc. ![]()
That being said, we do feel like there's a lot of potential in having the most desirable freebie loot apps "graduate" from freebie to bundle apps. So if there are any faves you've received in your loot that you really love, be sure to list them here too.
We have some pretty big surprises coming up for MacHeist II so be sure to stay tuned...

The only one I really want in the next bundle would be Pixelmator but that's gonna be 50-60 bucks and the beta will only be finished by August 16th so I don't know how possible it is to have that.
Pixelmator - http://pixelmator.com/
VisualHub - http://www.techspansion.com/visualhub/
CSSEdit - http://www.macrabbit.com/cssedit/
RSS reader (NewsFire is great but it was bundled in MacHeist I so this time maybe Headline? - http://www.headlineapp.com/)
I would also like to see something really new - eg. something from http://ilikeolives.com/ ;-)
btw - I just want to say 'Hello' because it's my first post :-)
I've been buying a lot of bundles lately, and I don't think my parents would really want me buying more. How about making a tiny part (like 2 apps) of the bundle free? I wouldn't mind if those two were small apps, but getting something for nothing is always great. ![]()
Anyways, I would suggest you put in there:
OmniWeb/OmniGraffle/Other Omni products
Typinator
KeyCues
MediaCatalog
AppZapper
1Passwd
I love all of those and I think other people would appreciate them as well.
I'm really looking forward to MH II (and ILikeOlives no less!). ![]()
Now that I thought about it, I would like to mention freebies. I would prefer to get less freebies (like two instead of four), but be able to get upgrades for those freebies. Instead of having one version of an app, we should get the full app with upgrades. Of course, this all depends on the willingness of developers.
Edit: I forgot Pixelmator. I'd love to have that.
Skitch, OmniFocus and CSSEdit.
This bundles are going to be harder and harder to compile with a broad range of apps that will appeal to a wide number of people.
TextExpander
MarsEdit
Skitch

Some sort of movie editing or video-type app would be awesome.
Whistle while you work. Patience is key.
Just thinking about a few more apps I'd like to see:
Cunning Fox
iFreeMem
Amnesty Widget Browser
Kill Monty
Missing Sync

I think it would be good to have a system where you pay $20 and then you choose five apps from a choice of ten or more. If you pay $30, you get them all. It would also be good if a percentage of the money went to charity, that would also make developers more likely to contribute to the bundle. This system would work better because many people don't want to spend $49 on a bundle, where they only really want a few of the apps.

Thats actually not a bad idea, though some developers may feel shafted if their app doesn't get chosen as much as the other apps, unless the developers all get [aid the same, which would be unlikely as each developer would be giving out different license amounts...

Just the things I'd like to see
Edit: I like hazzav's idea...where there is a lower cost bundle...The 2 reasons I didn't get the first bundle were 1. I didn't know if I'd really use everything, and 2. It was $50. That's quite a bit for myself.

I'd like to see:
1. A billing app like iRatchet, Billings, or iBiz
2. Skitch
3. Pixelmator
4. Book It
5. Clean App
6. Data Rescue II
7. Disk Warrior 4
8. Scrivener

12. Share
13. Shoebox Pro (not Express!)

After my recent shareware buying spree, I'm not altogether certain anymore what's on my have/want lists. Off the top of my head:
Skitch (:whimperingpuppysounds:)
OmniFocus (oh please oh please)
pzizz Energy Module (only 'cos I already have sleep)
*pedia (I hate DL. Sue me.)
VMWare Fusion
Tangerine (*not* the iTunes lib BPM analysis app)
TextExpander
KeyCue
Unsanity "Season Pass" (one guess what I mean by that *grin*)
Coda (I don't love it [yet], but I want a licence)
Inbox (because it's too pricey on its own but it's purty and I want it)
MacGourmet (No, I don't want Cookbook. Stop telling me to wait for it.)
MacTheRipper (because Handbrake isn't perfect)
Pixelmator (eh, why not)
Versions
Things
Papers/Yep (either one, really)
Apps I have and so should everyone else:
Journler (no, Bueller, it's not freeware)
VisualHub
NetNewsWire
ArtRage
1Passwd
MarsEdit
MenuCalendarClock
Speed Download
SuperDuper!
WebnoteHappy
YummyFTP
Apps I've had it up to *here* with seeing appear in bundles and promotions and really don't want to see:
AppZapper
Disco
Overflow
iClip
DEVONanything
(no offence intended to Austin, John, or the madebysofa guys)
It doesn't appear that I'm being very discriminating but it's not my fault that there's so much kick*ss shareware out there. Almost all my suggestions are moderately priced applications, all viable bundle inclusions.
