So here's what I have to say about these 2 easy share snapshot programs.
Jing- jingproject.com
Pros- records video, free web hosting, looks nice.
Cons- Uses lots of CPU on standby, could cost $$$ later.
Skitch- plasq.com
Pros- free web hosting, looks nice, cool interface.
Cons- No video, will cost $$$ later.
So what one do you like better? I'm really not sure. If anyone wants Skitch I'll give invites to the first 3 (now 2) people to pm me an email.
well, just fired up jing for the first time, took a quick video, it was cool, then i was screwing around, dragged a box down near the dock and it started recording video...sure enough there was no cancel button available, so that was fun, either kill the process or wait for it to run out of recording space. I'd MUCH rather have skitch with video.
I'm sure eventually I'll have some reason to want easy screencast capture ability but as of now Skitch is perfect for me. It'd be fun to play with if I ever had the time though ![]()
