Good stuff!

"Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem"  - all things being equal, the least complicated of all solutions is the preferable one (Occam's Razor).

I'm going to go ahead and say that the audio on the recorder got deleted or overwritten somehow, and that was going to be our next clue. The Directorate will probably put together a solution soon, but there is no way this mini heist is as convoluted as we seem to think, seeing as all of the previous heists have been relatively simple.

I agree. This is definitely no mini-heist; I'm going to hazard a guess and say that either this is a prelude to Heist 2 or someone somewhere screwed up badly. smile

My best guess would be to let the IRC channel, the forums, everything go dead until Heist agent goes off.  Right now we're just raw amusement for the directorate.

Remember that time when our cameras were hijacked, reversed, and turned red?.....Yeah, that was cool.

Why is it a mystery about the scientist.  Wasn't there a scientist in Heist 1?  Apply Occam's Razor - that is the scientist we are looking for.

Be more specific - are you referring to the Dr that put on heist 1 and turned out to be the traitor? It's my understanding that Dr Traitor is the one we're trying to catch, and he's the one that said we need to find the scientist before he does.

The amount of stupid speculation has gone well beyond 'amusing' and is firmly in 'pathetic'.

What about a link between the computer scientific at PennU and the picture of the cube inside the vault?

Here's a little something I noticed in the video -

Ben Franklin pulled out a key - why? I noticed it had a red ribbon tied around it.

Around the 23 minute mark, the team arrived at a statue of Ben Franklin with red ribbon tied around his neck and wrist. They didn't seem to think enough of it to investigate very long.

Guys, I think you missed something.

though this is a little late, you're right

"To start, press any key." Where's the "any" key?! I see Kuh-tor-ull, Esc, and Pig-Up, but I don't see the "Any" key! woah, all this computer hacking is making me thirsty, I think I'll order a tab. (Presses tab key) Ooh, too late for that now, the computers starting!"

Oh yeah - I know it was late. And I'm not even saying I would have caught it if I had been there - lots of excitement. I'm just saying that it was a clue or a hint that we missed. We need to try to avoid that obviously...

Originally we thought that the red ribbon around Franklin's neck and wrist was a clue but we walked further down the street and saw a ribbon tied around a lamp post with an HIV/AIDS sticker. So the ribbons were actually for HIV/AIDS awareness.

Plus you also have to keep in mind that we went to U Penn based on the fact that we figured the 5th image was in the middle of the kite shape that of 4 images created on Google Maps. This ended up being the complete wrong location and I doubt anything seen while there is a clue.

No Problem. Glad I could clear things up.

I used to work with Don Norman and, from what I know about him, I highly doubt he would have anything to do with MacHeist. It has been about a year since I've heard anything from him but I am pretty sure he is still at Northwestern.
