Sorry for being so dense guys...
1) I got the translation
2) got the russian keyboard ( no idea what it ment)
3) Enigma Simulator????
4) I went to gopher://bugzappertheapp.com/... why
5) Are we seeking to unlock the vault per mission or just in the last stage sorry I new to this puzzle just trying to get up to speed.
How long is a minute depends on which side of the bathroom door you are on. (Albert Einstein)
Damn, I had to leave right in the middle of the heist and now it's all solved
Then again, there are a few things I would't had thought of but...oh well!Loot's nice...
I had to leave, too, I was so tired ![]()

TOD = Death
in German, right?
Yeah, but how did they get the code? I'd like to recreate the steps.
DRC: follow all 19 pages of this thread and you'll be able to figure out heist 3! damn timezones caused me to miss the heist. only found out about it when it was solved! ![]()

The vault is unlocked with a four-digit code at the end of each mission. The loot for each mission includes free applications and a discount coupon. At the end of the missions a bundle of applications will be offered for $50 (I think that's the price), and the coupons will reduce the price even further for those who solved the missions.

By mapping the coordinates and see what they would look like with lines between them.
I was trying that but couldn't find a way to do it without mapping by hand. What did they use to map it out?
Starry night or google sky
All's quiet in the Amazon.
A couple things... someone(EDIT: mjweb) who posted here had the same avatar as one of the users in snovadev.com.
billskiller = philschiller?
And what url gives me the option to put in a code for the vault?
I hacked supernova.com and revealed that Delicious-Sofa is Microsoft. Then I got busted and "they" reset it to the default. I tried!
Wow... That was a tough one...
I _still_ don't know how to convert DD:MM:SS into HH:MM:SS. I guess that the rest of the group had a problem with it as well, considering the 3rd digit was the last one found.
I recognized the blowfish logo, but I'd never seen a simple blowfish text block encryptor before.
I've been around the internet since the days of gopher, archie, veronica, etc., so that one was pretty obvious (though I scratched my head for awhile before I found out that lynx still had a functional gopher client in it).
I am curious as to what the other messages are in the sndev.com web site. I suppose that brute-force cracking isn't going to reveal anything. Did anyone get the keys from the other users?

In theory, theory and practice are the same, in practice, they are not.
@bunyip1. Yeah come to think of it that is exactly what happened to me around the time the RSS feed was published. I didn't connect it to HeistAgent until you mentioned it and realized that I didn't see the Agent pop up before this heist.
I don't get this. What is MacHeist?
The "About" tab on the "About" page answers the question, "So, what exactly is MacHeist?" Maybe that will help explain it.
And try going to "The Front" in these MacHeist II Forums and reading the first posting, titled "Sticky: For all the newbies: What to expect". As it says, "Over the next several weeks, you'll meet new people, participate in several different logic puzzles, unlock free Mac applications, and earn discounts on the grand finale, the MacHeist 2 bundle!"
Hope that helps.
BTW, did anyone notive the mole's letter inside the open wault (top banner image)!?
Im new to these but is that normal or is there something more to do?
You may find your answer in the "note from the mole" thread on this page:

I just want to say the loot from MacHeist so far has been better than the last whole pay bundle in my opinion. Amazing software that I will use but had somehow never found before. ![]()
I arrived to the gopher://bugzappertheapp.com/ but I am unable to open the text files within this directory as Speed Download won't let me download them as they are not related with ftps, http, etc. Is there a way around this? Please let me know. Thanks!

Deactivate Speed Download.
To get the file right click on the link and save link as ... put it on you desktop then ... analyze it
its a txt.tif file ... weird extension .. doesn't seem to be neither of the two file types
Change the extensions to .zip and unzip them and it will work. Or, someone said UUDecode them, but I found the .zip part worked fine, at least for the text files.

Isn't this a family friendly board?
Yes, but this is also a very much international Heist, so those sitting on very high horses are please requested to step down before belittleing those who happen to make spelling or grammatical errors.

So you mean the picture is form gopher is the same as on the box cover? I guessed that all files together build the whole app, when you change it. So maybe we just have to change the extentions (someone allready menat zip and unzip). Sadly I am not so firm to that. At work on my WinStupid machine, I can do nothing with it.
Most of the messages are text messages - archives of email between a programmer and someone requesting the app. One is a box cover - slightly different than the one gained in the Chicago actions (if I recall correctly) and one file we never figured out what to do with - the Safety Check file, which in my opinion may be just what it says - some way to trust the Gopher site. I got into the internet at the tail end of Gopher, so I don't know a ton about it.
My two cents,

If I'm not mistaken, the safety check library was the library which the application would be required to poll on a set interval, which we determined to be the software version of the RDF generator. Whether or not we can get anything from it is a different story - but it's doubtful, since we completed the heist without it.
Anyone late to the game should make sure their HeistAgent software is activated on login. Mission 2 there was a two day advanced notice of the mission. Mission 3 the email came the following morning!

Or keep tabs on the forums or the IRC chat. I got rid of HeistAgent as it's too crummy.
Just because the Heist was solved before you jumped on board, doesn't mean you cannon still enjoy the heist! I followed along and tried to solve the clues and when I get stuck I read on to see the solutions.
Don't forget the heist is active for at least a week or two after it starts.

The RSS feed works fine and updates at the same time(or quicker) than the HeistAgent.

did anyone notice that the review for wormzapper states: "Impressed alpha user here. If there were an Oscar for Mac software, Worm Zapper would definitely win it. It's great!" the person who reviewed it is J. BARTLETT.
