Seems like AM, huh? *shudder
They're all 2-3 PM local time
called all 3 us numbers.
none worked.ny sounded like a fax machine answered.
dallas doesn't recieve calls.
sf number is disconnected.this could mean trouble.
More likely it means TracFones hidden somewhere close to the pay phones in question. Hooray for little $15 "disposable", prepaid phones!
codybrom: shouldn't be any trouble/problem - it's the location that's important. We need our persons (4) there at the time specified to get a piece of a message that will identify a fifth place where we need to send another representative to get the next clue/hint/message/code.

cool, here's the German location on Google maps
just one block up the street is the Comfort Hotel Frühling Am Zoo, and right across the street from the hotel this panorama was made, when the panorama starts you will be looking down the street at the next block where Kurfuerstendamm 224 is located.
Now point your curser to the right of the panorama (across the street) and click on the hot spot to go to the panorama taken at City Quartier Neues Kranzler Eck, pan to the right just a bit, now zoom in and you can make out the sign for the easy internet cafe (that's where Kurfuerstendamm 224 is).

I think I really need to go to bed now
Nooo :< Ahrg!!! I could hit my head with my mbp right now.
Just saw the mission 1 min ago. I wish I could be there.
Well I'm from Berlin but I have a job today from 12am till 1am in the next morning (I'm a waiter). Arg!!!! For one Time some of the cool heist action is taking place in my homecity and I can not go there.
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG!!!
Well, okay - I try to get some of my friends to go there. Especialy one of them got nothing to do :-)
sorry btw for this much screaming in my post!
In the end everything will be fine.
If it's not fine yet, its not the end.
no agents in berlin yet?
I do have some friends there but they are not into this kind of thing I think.
unfortunately amsterdam, where I am, is a little too far away.
there must be a few active (as in forum active) agents in berlin or i doubt the devs would bother using that location.

Unlikely. There'll be someone performing a drop as you cannot guarantee a phone call on a pay phone getting to the right person in such a large period of time.
BOSTON! Why don't you love us!? (^_^)

So are you saying that Berlin IS covered?
I came, I saw, I realised it's all too much effort, I had a nap.

Hey gang... Not to appear stupid or anything... but what is the real point in these 'agent' missions in real life? I understood the heist method using Google Streetview but these 'live' agent in the field missions have me stumped.
Now I live about 25 or so miles from the payphone location in Dallas. But what would be the purpose to drive down there pay to park and deal with whatever the deal is?
I am not trying to be a party-pooper here... I think I am just not wrapping my 50 year old brain around these 'live' missions.

jocnsoc: we do NOT know it is on the East coast. The TIMING of the 22:00 meeting is East coast time - that's all. For example, it could be in San Francisco @ 22:00 EST, which would be 19:00 West coast time.
We have to get the 4 parts of the next message to find out where - we already know when.

Atticusrex, it's FUN. And it's desperately clever. And it makes people feel like they're actual agents for a few minutes. It's a break from reality. Who the heck doesn't want that??
I think the live parts of the heist are the most fun, and I've been directly involved in NONE of them.
By the way, I think I have Dallas covered, Atticus, so you won't have to get up anyway!!
Diane, this case gives me a strange feeling... this is one of Cole's blue rose cases.
Are only the people involved directly rewarded or do we work as a team once the information is received?

Standing by, ready to contribute to the overall effort!

Given the "history" of the last couple of RW mini-heists - don't count on the team aspect - things seem to move pretty fast and communication back to the MacHeist community is spotty at best - the RW'ers, right or wrong, do their best to solve these on their own, only finally turning to to community when they are desperate - sometimes too late. Ancient history maybe, but at the least, a consequence of the heists being RW - hence why they are not nearly as fun as the online ones - not enough collaboration and participation.
+2 cents.
thanks, who is meet at the nyc payphone? I would love to help but I can't follow up on whatever happens because it's my birthday.
