I have submitted the stupid MacRumors thing with the photos 5 times over the last 4.5 hours. Nothing is happening.

How do I get the loot?

I didn't submit the specs...

The wiki (cheater me) says the specs aren't necessary. Is this false?

Make sure that you click the link in your briefings. You have to wait several minutes for the emails. You should use the email you registered with Macheist.

Very silly, I know, but I did that too but forgot to enter my email address.

Remember to enter it, otherwise you get nothing. I believe they use the email address to look us up in the MacHeist DB and distribute the loot.

The username in the link is probably key too.

Your loot should arrive within about 45 minutes of you submitting the photos to MacRumor. I did not include specs and it worked.

Maybe I hate everything. Or maybe I just hate you.

There must be a limit to the number of automated emails they can send out per hour. As more and more people submit, they get backlogged, so we have to wait until our email comes up in the Q.

Okay, guys, nothing happened until I sent an e-mail to Billy. I wonder if you have to do that to get the ball rolling. Then the chain continues when you send the MacRumors report. Then you get an e-mail from MacRumors, and then an e-mail from Lisa.

So you're saying after starting this whole thread called "Nothing is happening", the reason was you weren't following the game in the right order? I mean, of course you have to send an email to Billy, that's clearly stated as the first step in the briefing. tongue

I tried everything to follow the given steps... ;-)

Hi Phill,
of course I can. Since I'm using .mac there is no spam filter at the server site.
And Mail doesn't show any spam either...

Contact him with what? It just says "Contact should be made through his email: billy@billyhull.com"

Your instructions are clear, but far from descriptive. You just want us to send him a blank email?

If you want people to jump through hoops to get stuff, put some more thought into all the aspects of your "game."

It's all fine and dandy that you know everything that is going on, but users have to digest a lot of material and sift through a lot of stuff here.

This is a first go for you at doing this, so digest all this stuff and learn from it so you can improve as you go. Don't just shrug people off as not listening. And if they didn't listen, find out why. Maybe there is a communication gap somewhere.
